295,481. Humfrey, J. C. W., Sandberg, C. P., Sandberg, O. r. A. and Sandberg, N. P. P., (trading as Sandberg, C. P. [Firm of]). June 30, 1927. Clutches; variable-speed ratchet gearing.-The friction ratchet gearing described in Specification 239,894 is modified by making the inner or outer member conical or cylindrical, and the skewed rollers and remaining member of such conoidal shape that there is line contact between the parts. The modification is applicable to all the forms described in the prior Specification, and also to the ratchet and slipping clutches described in Specification 248,183.
