Fabrics formed by stitching together fibrous materials and threads.-A fabric is formed from ground braids, tresses or plaits 1, 1<a>, 1<b>, conneted by the zig-zag stitching 2. The fabric may be formed as one flat piece, Fig. 1, by laying ground braids of equal length in position for sewing together, or bending one long length of ground braid upon itself successively after sewing the adjacent edges together along a certain length, or it may be formed from one long piece of ground braid by sewing to form a spiral. Fig. 3.
