Window blinds.-A side curtain for window blinds of the awning type comprises a canvas curtain a carried by a vertically mounted spring roller b, means being provided to unwind the curtain when required. In the arrangement shown the side curtain a is attached to an endless cord h guided by pulleys e, f, g carried by the radius arm d of the main blind ar.d driven by a motor or manually operated drum i. A spring &c. loaded jack pulley y maintains a proper tension in the cord. Interlocking means to ensure that the main blind and the side curtain are operated in proper sequence may be provided. The point of attachment of the curtain a to the cord h is such that, when the curtain is retracted, it coincides with the pivotal point of the radius arm so that this arm is free to move without displacing the curtain.
