Lubricant conveyed by fluid.-In a lubricating device comprising a casing A forming an oil reservoir D and having threaded apertures G in its ends for connection with the air line H of a pneumatic machine, a tubular member L journaled in the ends of the casing coaxially with the apertures to and forming a pressure-fluid passageway 0 carries weights P extending close to the ends of the casing and having passages S leading from the reservoir into axial passages R in bridges Q extending transversely across the passageway 0, the outlets of the passages S being controlled by needle valves U threaded into the bridges. A pipe Y carried by the tube L conveys pressure fluid from the passageway 0 into the reservoir D, the arrangement being such that, due to the fluctuations of pressure in the line consequent on the operation of the machine, oil is forced from the reservoir into the passageway 0 through the passages S. The weights P ensure that the tube L takes up a position such that at least one of the passages S, the inlets T of which are. near the ends of the casing, is in communication with the oil in the reservoir, and that the pipe Y projects about the surface of oil, irrespective of the position of the casing.
