289,259. Rutledge, P. V. April 29, 1927. Extincteurs; fire-extinguishing by solut i o n s. - A fire-extinguisher is provided with a tray adapted to lie over the bottom of the liquid receptacle and catch any sediment deposited from the solution, and to be inverted or rotated from time to time to remix the sediment. In a preferred form applied to an inversion extinguisher of the kind described in Specifications 270,199 and 270,217, the tray 8 is carried by the scraper 7 attached to the rotary inner vessel 2. When the vessel 2 is rotated from time to time as described in Specification 270,217, the tray 8 carries any deposited sediment to the top of the outer vessel 1, where it is dropped and remixed with the solution by the scraper 7. In another arrangement, the tray may be supported merely by a pair of thin rods.
