Light, treating diseases with.-A cover for a therapeutic lamp to protect the operator from harmful rays comprises a flat top 1, sloping sides 2, and a back portion 3 carrying a block 4 adjustably secured to a vertical rod 5 by a screw 6. The back 3 is cut away to accommodate a reflector 9 also secured upon the rod 5. The top 1 is formed with a light-trapped aperture 12 and the sides 2 with apertures 13 closed by Crookes or coloured glass 14. Contact with live parts of the lamp is obviated by the provision of insulating material such as strips 11 grooved to engage the edges of the cover. Specification 274,392 is referred to.
