Abstract

Cleaning.-Tinned plates after they leave the tinning bath are passed through a water bath, which may contain sodium phosphate, heated to a temperature of 190-212‹ F, so that any water adhering to the plates is rapidly evaporated. The bath is heated by means of tubes through which superheated steam is passed.
