Feeding-arrangements for ironing - machines. -A brush A or other friction element is inserted in front of or in an aperture in the feed-table B or feedapron of a Decoudun or other ironing or calendaring-machine so as to project above the surface of the table to exert a drag on the articles being fed to the machine. The brush may be stationary or may be rotated in a direction opposite to the direction of feed. A manually-operated cam-shaft E may be provided to adjust the vertical position of the friction element, with means to lock it in the adjusted position.
