Net floats and buoys.-A float for lifting headropes of trawl-nets comprises a closed hollow metal shell of elonglated or cylindrical form with conical or rounded ends a<2>, a<1> so as nowhere to present any flat surfaces. The cylindrical or elongated part carries lugs b to which the headropes are secured. The shell may be corrugated, Fig. 6, and may be strengthened by internal webs or partitions or by flanges a<6>, Fig. 11. Side fins a<5> may be fitted to produce a lifting effect.
