Glue. - In a process of forming glue into granules or drops, by allowing a glue solution to fall in separate drops on to a travelling surface, the surface is powdered with talc, chalk, boric acid, pulverized glue, starch, &c. or a mixture of such materials for the purpose of coating the drops which are subsequently separated from the surplus powder by sifting. When the drops are sufficiently stiff they are removed from the surface and dried. The stiffening may be accelerated by combining the surface with a cooling device wherein air, water &c. may be used as a cooling agent. The surface may comprise a rotating cylinder, conveyer belt or rotating disc.
