Abstract

282,498. Brown, S. C. Sept. 22, 1926. Sight-testing apparatus. - Trial frames for sight testing are constructed so that they rest on the wall or side of the nose or the orbit of the eye and are provided with means, preferably in the form of adjustable nose pads, whereby the lens cells may be adjusted with respect to the nose. The pads a are mounted on rods b screwed through bearings c' on the lens cells d and operated by knobs b<1>. Tie rods b<3> are also fitted to prevent twisting of the pads a. The distance between the lens cells d is independently adjusted by a pinion e and rack f as shown.
