Abstract

282,163. Strand, H. W. Sept 17, 1926. Tethering animals.-The invention comprises arrangements by which the individual grazing areas of a number of animals are automatically extended by clockwork or similar mechanism. In one form, the tethers 1, Fig. 1, are attached to pivoted rods 2, the other ends of which are secured to a longitudinally moving beam 2. In another form, the tethers 1a, Fig. 3, are attached to a line 9 which is gradually released, and the line and each tether pass through a ring 15 on one of a series of stakes 11.
