Abstract

277,601. Albers, W. Sept. 15, 1926, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. Sparking-plugs.-A metallic liner or sheath is placed between the insulator 3 and normal plug casing 1. It is internally threaded to take a ring 8 for engaging the central enlargement of the insulator and a conical, spherical or other flange 5 to engage seatings on the insulator and casing. The gland 2 engages the outer end of the interposed liner which is grooved adjacent to openings 9 in the casing. The central electrode is of pure nickel and is retained by a nut 10 and ribbed cooling nut 6.
