276,251. Aktiebolaget Priorverken. Oct. 2, 1926, [Convention date]. Screwing dieheads.-In a diehead for making wood-screws the chasers 2 are pivoted at 7 and are oscillated by a rotary cam ring in a known manner. Guides 3 are attached to the chaser-carriers 1 by screws 4 and have surfaces 5 for engaging the work 6, the surfaces being arcs of circles having centres at the pivots 7, so that they bear on the work with a uniform pressure during oscillation. An axial guide bush is also provided in the head at the opposite side of the chasers from the guides 3, the interior of the bush forming, with the threads of the work, a helical passage along which cutting fluid is supplied to the chasers.
