Abstract
275,634. BerÚny, R. Aug. 3, 1926, [Convention date]. Kinematograph apparatus.-In continuous-feed apparatus wherein optical compensation is effected by a rotary annular mirror, and the inclination of the mirror surface to the axis varies in radial section so as to effect the compensation, the mirror is positioned between the picture aperture and the objective. As shown, the film is fed by a sprocket 2, and passes from a spood 4, over a curved gate 3 having an aperture of double the picture depth, to a take-up spool 5. The projection beam is reflected by an annular mirror 9 through an objective 12, and is reflected to the screen by a fixed mirror 15. The mirror 9 is carried by a driven spindle 11 and rotates once during the time the film takes to travel an image depth. The mean circumference 13, Fig. 2. of the mirror lies in one plane, and the inclination of the section of its surface made by a radial plane may make an angle of 93‹ to the axis of the spindle 11 at one side of a dividing line 14, and may gradually vary with the position of the section until it makes an angle of 87‹ at the other side of the dividing line.
