Abstract

275,000. Hirst, L. B., and British Overhead Irrigation, Ltd. June 23, 1926. Garden and crop sprayers. - A sprinkler for garden or agricultural purposes of the kind comprising a pipe 20 having spaced nozzles 37, which is oscillated about its axis by means of an hydraulic motor, is mounted on a carriage preferably provided with runners 11 to which are attached triangular brackets 12 supporting a bar 13 which carries an eye 23 and a bearing 31 to support the tube. The bar 13 carries the casing 14 of a Pelton or other water wheel, the rotor of which carries a spindle 16 driving a crank 26 through worm gearing. The crank 26 oscillates the pipe 20 by means of links 33, 34 the range of oscillation being varied by varying the position of the crank pin 30 and its angularity by adjusting the link 31 on the pipe 20.
