Television; synchronous movements.-Electrical oscillating circuits controlling the movements for re-constibuting the picture at the receiving station are kept in synchronism with the transmission by either (1) a current comprising the picture current with periodic currents of less intensity than the average picture current and corresponding to intervals following each exploration of a line element or of the complete picture at the transmitting station, or (2) a periodic additional impulse corresponding to such intervals and produced by an independent source of light at the transmitting station. Each oscillating circuit may include a tuning fork or piezoelectric crystal and may be coupled to a circuit including a neon lamp and condenser or a condenser discharging through a resistance for controlling the traverse of a pencil of cathode rays over a fluorescent reproducing screen.
