Stop-motions.- In a carding-engine driven by an electric motor the degree to which the clothing is filled and is in need of stripping is indicated by a device controlled by the increased current consumption or increased temperature of the motor. The device may be utilized to operate the motor switch and cut out the motor at a given point.
