Magnesium ribbon lamps. - A magnesium ribbon lamp for photographic purposes comprises a tubular handle a containing a supply of magnesium ribbon strips e and fitted with removable end-caps b, c. The end-cap c is adapted to be secured in the reversed position in the handle a and is fitted with a spring clip d in which one of the strips e may be held whilst being burnt. A centrally apertured reflector f which may carry an ash trav h is securable between a flange on the cap c and the end of the handle a.
