Collision-guards.-In a bumperbar having a central section 1, Fig. 2, and adjustable end sections 2, each end section 2 is provided with a stiffening or reinforcing member 12 movable with the end section, the member 12 being bent or directed rearwardly at 13 for attachment to the vehicle. Clips 11 are secured to each end of the central bar 1 and similar clips to each inner end of each end section 2 so that the members 2, 12 may be adjusted in position along the bar 1. A plate 19, Fig. 4, is secured to the chassis side bar by four hook-bolts 25, the bolts passing through diagonally-disposed elongated holes 26 in the plate so that the bumper may be adjusted verti. cally. A bracket 21 is attached to the plate 19 by bolts 20, the rear bolt working in a curved slot if required. Several bolt holes may be formed in the bracket 21 so that the bumper may be adjusted longitudinally of the vehicle. The bracket 21 is clamped to the part 13 of the reinforcing member 12 by a clip 23 through which the part 13 may slide when adjusting the bumper.
