Stud-and-slot fastenings.-A setscrew or pin having a portion of reduced diameter is retained bv a plate having a slot sufficient only to allow the passage of the reduced portion of the screw. The tubular member 1 of a telesccpic display stand has a retaining screw the threaded portion 4 of which passes through a key-hole slot in a sleeve 7 which is rotated when the screw is in position so that the narrow portion of the slot engages the portion 5 of the screw which is of reduced diameter.
