Abstract

270,021. Hanvey, A. G. Feb. 11, 1926. Hot-closets.- A mantelpiece is provided with a metal box 2 forming a hotcloset, arranged behind it and entirely carried by it, the whole forming a unit structure. Access to the box is obtained by a door 1<b> in the front panel of the mantelpiece. In the form shown, the flue 3 extends right across the back of the box, but, as indicated bv the broken lines 2<a>, the box may extend for a portion of its length to the back of the flue, so as to leave a flue passage at one or both sides, or at the centre. A downward extension or well 4 may be provided for articles needing more intense heating, having a door 4<a> in the floor of the main box.
