Abstract

269,720. Callender's Cable & Construction Co., Ltd., and Greene. C. J. April 1, 1926. Laying cables.-For drawing in electric cables along a trench two or more rollers are supported on bases which are adapted to be joined in a series in situ in the trench or conduit and readily removed therefrom. A series of linked units with vertical and horizontal rollers may be used. In the construction shown horizontal rollers D, Figs. 1 and 2, are mounted by frames C on bases B. Each base has vertical arms E on which frames G carrying vertical rollers F are mounted. Interlocking elements H', E' may be provided on the lower eyes of the frames G and on the arms E respectively to limit the curvature of the cable path to any desired degree. The units may be positioned in the trench by packing blocks J.
