Abstract
269,265. Pickard, C. R. H. Jan. 25, 1926. Printing - apparatus. -A printing frame is pivotally mounted on a support which is fitted both above and below with active illumination, the frame being rotatable through 180‹ so that printing can be effected either from above or below. In the apparatus illustrated the printing frame 1, Fig. 3, is pivotally mounted by pivots 4 on the top 3 of a cabinet 2 containing both non-actinic and actinic illumination, 16, 22, but can be turned over if desired to use upper printing lamps 12 on the bracket 13 in conjunction with vignetting devices. The frame 1 is held in either horizontal position by a spring bolt 5. To prevent its being reversed when the pressure bar 10 is not closed. a spring pressed sliding bolt 17, Fig. 5, normally engages a bolt hole 20 and is automatically retracted by the bar 10 when this is pressed down and engaged by the retaining catch 11.
