Transparencies, travelling; optical-projection apparatus, applications of.-A series of lantern slide frames 22 are carried on stems 21 pivoted in radial slots 20 in a head 19 rotated step-bystep by pin-and-slot mechanism 15, 16. The slide 22 brought into the projection plane is lifted into position against a cushion 60 by a rod 24 slidable in the head 19 and carrying a hook 25 which engages a notch 26 in the stems 21. The rod 24 is periodically forced down against a spring 30 by the engagement of a continuously revolving cam 31 with a rod 28 fixed to the rod 24. A shutter 45 is lowered to cut off the light during change of slide by an arm 40 fixed to an elbow lever 37 controlled by a cam 34. The lamp is adjustable vertically, and is covered by a hood 56 movable on stay rods 47, 48 which also. carry the condenser.
