Abstract

262,923. White, W. H. Dec. 3, 1925. Switchboards. - A device for connecting in series all the headphones of a wireless receiving set which are being used and short-circuiting all those out of use comprises a series of concentric terminals 1 connected together in pairs by straps B let into the interior of the base, all the straps except the first two of which the leads from the set are connected being formed with radial extensions on any one of which a rotatable contactmember C may be adjusted. The contact-member rotates on a spindle D which is connected by a strap E to that one of the first two pairs of terminals to which the negative lead from the set is connected. The headphones are connected to adjacent unstrapped terminals and, with the contact-member in the position shown, the first three headphones are in series in connection with the set and the other two are short-circuited. A pointer on the front of the board and moving with the contact-member below the board indicates the number of headphones in operation.
