Abstract

262,620. Berry, H. H. Jan. 20, 1926. Wire resistances on grooved surfaces. - In a heater of the type consisting of a wire mounted on an insulating backing formed of grooved sections the grooves in some of the sections are of simple U-shaped or parabolic form while the others are inclined to hold the wire in place. The portions of the grooves in the different sections are in a straight line and the wire can be placed in position from the front after the sections have been assembled. In the arrangement shown the sections a have the simple grooves and the sections b those inclined as shown at the right hand side of the Figure. Specification 241,379 is referred to.
