Abstract

A unit / housing 1 forming at least part of an air management system, the unit / housing having side walls conforming to the shape of walls at a corner of a room 100 and a curved wall facing into the room. The unit / housing has a means for extracting air 10 from the room into the unit / housing at a first height and a means for expulsion of the air 20 from the unit / housing into the room at second height that is higher than the first level. The unit / housing is floor mounted. The air management system is primarily for use in healthcare and educational buildings. The air may be extracted through a grill (30, fig 3) and passes through a filter unit 35 to remove impurities in the air. A removable cover permits the filter unit or other components within the unit / housing to be removed and / or replaced. One or more fans 45 may be provided to move airflow through the unit / housing. A recirculation system (40, fig 5a) may be provided reusing heat from the air in the room. The unit / housing may be modular (fig 7).
