Abstract

A small wind turbine with a 14 volt DC output generator is connected via a fuse and a diode to a 12 volt 100 amp/hour valve regulated lead acid battery. The battery is connected to a conventional lighting circuit via protection. The lamps used are 3000 Kelvin, 350 Lumen, GU40, 12 Volt and 3 Watt. A second turbine or a photovoltaic panel may be added to provide more energy to the battery. A heating system comprising photovoltaic panels to provide energy to an electric boiler with an immersion element is also disclosed. A switching arrangement for the long element at the top of an immersion tank is also disclosed.
