Stoppers with valves. - A collapsable tube 1 containing polish or like substance and provided with means such as a brush 3 for applying the polish, or a screwed attachment carrying a pad, has a closure member such as a slide 4, which is located near to the brush or pad so that, after the device has been used, only a small strip of polish is left in the space 2<1>. This strip, which may harden on exposure to the atmosphere, may be loosened by the provision of one or more pins 4' on the slide 4.
