Abstract

A cushioned device (figure 2) for a known pivotally winged/paddled 1 pelvic floor/hip/thigh exerciser that co-act via a hinge (figure 1) that has cushioned pads that cover in part the hard surfaces of the paddles that engage with the user’s inner thighs when the user applies pressure to the paddles during use. The cover cushions the pressure paddles of the exerciser to increase the comfort of the user. Preferably the cover has pockets 4 that accommodate the paddles/arms 1 of the exerciser; and at least one strap 10 to detachably secure the exerciser to the user during use. The cushioned pads 11 and 12 overlie the active surface of the paddles that engage with the user’s thighs. The cover may have at least one contoured cushion pad, wherein the cushion pad(s) may be detachably attached to the cover and may vary in size and shape. The cover may have flaps 8 that cover the hinge of the exerciser and may be waterproof or water resistant. Parts may also be releasably attached to the exerciser that increase the are onto which the user exerts pressure. The cover may be a bag into which the exercise is place and releasably secured.

Description

COMFORT CUSHION DEVICE FOR PELVIC FLOOR AND HIP/THIGH EXERCISER (SAPHORA SULLMAN)
Description
The invention fits over, at least in part, a pelvic floor exerciser or a hip and thigh exerciser. Pelvic floor exercisers and hip exercisers involve the users' inner thighs applying pressure during exercising on the 'wings' which co-act via a hinge.
This force application during exercise can be quite uncomfortable on the user's inner thighs because the wings are made of a hard and rigid material, and the exerciser can sometimes slip out of position during use. On occasion during use, spills may damage the exerciser.
The inventive concept herein claimed being is for a device which is reversibly placed over, at least in part, the pelvic floor exerciser, and which incorporates cushioned pads that cover at least in part, the hard uncomfortable surfaces and edge onto which the user's inner thighs press during exercise.
The inventive concepts herein being claimed are for a device which: a) Cushions the pressing paddles of the exerciser for comfort; b) Detachably secures the exerciser to the user during use; c) Waterproofs the exerciser against unfortunate spills.
The device is contoured to allow it to be easier for the user to grip during use.
In at least one embodiment, the invention incorporates at least one contoured cushion.
In at least one embodiment, the device incorporates at least one means in which it can be secured to the user.
The device incorporates water resistant elements, at least in part, to protect the enclosed exerciser from liquid spills.
A pelvic floor exerciser cushion device incorporating cushioned pads that cover at least in part the hard uncomfortable surfaces and edge onto which the user's inner thighs push during exercise.
In at least one embodiment, the invention is contoured to allow it to be easier for the user to grip during use.
In at least one embodiment of the invention, it incorporates at least one means of detachable fastening.
In at least one embodiment, the invention incorporates at least one means in which it can be reversibly secured to the user.
In at least one embodiment, the invention incorporates at least one strap to allow the invention to be secured to the user to prevent it from shifting out of position during function.
In at least one embodiment, the invention is water resistant, at least in part, to protect the enclosed exerciser.
In at least one embodiment, the invention incorporates at least two parts.
In at least one embodiment, the invention incorporates at least two parts wherein the parts are reversibly attached or otherwise connected together.
In at least one embodiment, the invention wherein the invention incorporates at least one reversibly detachable part.
In at least one embodiment, the invention wherein the invention incorporates at least one reversibly detachable cushion pad.
In at least one embodiment, the invention incorporates a range of differently sized reversibly detachable cushion pads to allow a change in configuration of the invention.
In at least one embodiment, the invention incorporates at least one part which is reversibly variable in size.
In at least one embodiment, the invention incorporates at least one part which is reversibly variable in shape.
In at least one embodiment, the invention incorporates at least one part which is reversibly variable in configuration.
In at least one embodiment, the invention incorporates at least one means in which it can be reversibly secured to the exerciser.
Drawings Figure 1 is a perspective view of Prior Art, a pelvic floor exerciser/hip exerciser, wherein the two paddles 1 and 2 coact via a hinge 3.
Figure 2 is a perspective view of the inner surface of an embodiment of the invention, wherein the arms 4 and 5 incorporates pockets 6 and 7 respectively, with flaps Sand 9. The invention further includes straps 10.
Figure 3 is a perspective view of the first embodiment of the invention shown in Figure 2 wherein the paddles land 2 of the exerciser are inserted into pockets 4 and 5, at least in part, and the flaps 8 and 9 are secured over the hinge of the exerciser 3. Straps 10 would be secured to the user's legs to keep the exerciser and invention securely in position during use. Once the invention is fitted to the exerciser, the cushioned pads 11 and 12 on the outer surface of the invention overlie the active surface of the paddles land 2 respectively.
