Abstract
A power plug comprising a housing 1 and a plurality of pins attached to the housing. The pins include a live-wire pin 200, a neutral-wire pin 100 and an earth-wire pin 2, the earth-wire pin comprising a plug-in part 21 and a pivoting part 22 that extends from the plug-in part and is perpendicular thereto. The pivoting part is in pivoted connection with the housing. When the power plug is not in use, the plug-in part may be rotated about the pivoting connection with the housing and inserted into a holding aperture 11 in the housing to decrease the volume of the whole power plug. Preferably, the plug-in part has a groove 42 capable of engaging with a protrusion or pin 41 in the holding aperture that releasably retains the plug-in part in the holding aperture. Preferably the plug-in part has a protrusion, or tab 211 extending beyond the junction with the pivoting part to assist in releasing the plug-in part from the holding aperture.

POWER PLUG
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present utility model relates to the field of power plugs, in particular relates to a power plug.
BACKGROUND ART
A British-standard power plug comprises three square (or circular) pins, namely an earth-wire pin, a live-wire pin and a null-wire pin, wherein the live-wire pin and the null-wire pin are generally distributed separately left and right, the earth-wire pin is located in front of the midpoint of the line connecting the live-wire pin and the null-wire pin, and the cross sectional area of the earth-wire pin is bigger than that of the live-wire pin and the null-wire pin.
The British-standard power plugs are divided into assembly-type and injection-type ones; the housing and pins of an injection-type British-standard power plug are integrated and non-removable, so the volume is relatively large, occupies much space and is not convenient to carry about; the housing and pins of an assembly-type British-standard power plug are removable and thus the volume is relatively small and convenient to carry about after being disassembled, but the complicated disassembling and assembling operations mean inconvenience and that the disassembled parts and components (such as housing or pins) may be missing. In addition, the assembly-type null-wire pin is totally located on the reverse side of the housing, so the housing needs to be made big and as a result, it is impossible to greatly decrease the volume of the whole power plug.
SUMMARY OF UTILITY MODEL
A purpose of the present utility model aims to provide a power plug so that it is realizable to fold and store its earth-wire pin and thus decrease its volume when carrying about it and it is realizable to spread its earth-wire pin and use is conveniently when using it.
To achieve the purpose described above, the present utility model provides a power plug comprises a housing and a plurality of pins designed onto the housing wherein the pins include a live-wire pin, a null-wire pin and an earth-wire pin, the earth-wire pin includes a plug-in part and a pivoting part extending out from the bend of the plug-in part, the end of the pivoting part is of pivoted connection with the housing and can drive the plug-in part move between the folding and spreading positions opposite to the housing; when the plug-in part is totally spread, the plug-in part is located at least partially outside the housing in the direction of perpendicular to the center line of the live-wire pin and matches up with the live-wire pin and the earth-wire pin.
As a technical solution of the present utility model that the earth-wire pin is designed to include a plug-in part and a pivoting part extending out from the bend of the plug-in part so that the earth-wire pin takes on a "LT' shape as a whole, the end of the pivoting part is of pivoted connection with the housing, the plug-in part can move along with the pivoting part between the folding and spreading positions opposite to the housing; when the plug-in part is totally spread, the plug-in part is located at least partially outside the housing in the direction of perpendicular to the center line of the live-wire pin and matches up with the live-wire pin and the earth-wire pin so that the live-wire pin, the null-wire pin and the earth-wire pin can be inserted into the corresponding jacks of the power socket; on the premise that the power plug can be used normally, it is realizable to make the housing smaller and thus decrease the volume of the whole power plug; when not using the power plug, it is realizable to twine the plug-in part along the rotating center of the pivoting part and then place them in the housing to further decrease the volume of the whole power plug; in addition, the folding and spreading operations are simple, so it is convenient to carry about and use the power plug.

The technical solutions of the present utility model will be described more clearly and fully in conjunction with the accompanying drawings of the present utility model, and obviously, the described embodiments are merely a part of the embodiments of the present utility model, not all the embodiments. Based on the embodiments of the present utility model, all the other embodiments obtained by the ordinary skilled in the art without creative labors belong to the scope claimed by the present utility model.
It should be noted that if an embodiment of the present utility model relates to directive instructions (such as upper, lower, left, right, front, rear, top, bottom, inside, outside, vertical, transverse, longitudinal, counter-clockwise, clockwise, circumferential, radial and axial), these directive instructions are merely used to explain the relative position relationship, the movement and so on among the components at certain specific posture (as shown in the accompanying drawings); if the specific posture changes, the directive instructions should be changed accordingly.

As shown from FIG 1 to FIG. 6, a power plug comprises a housing 1 and a plurality of pins designed onto the housing 1, wherein the pins include a live-wire pin 200, a null-wire pin 100 and an earth-wire pin 2, the earth-wire pin 2 includes a plug-in part 21 and a pivoting part 22 extending out from the bend of the plug-in part 21, the end of the pivoting part 22 is of pivoted connection with the housing 1 and can drive the plug-in part 21 move between the folding Ind spreading positions opposite to the housing; when the plug-in part 21 is totally spread, the plug-in part 21 is located at least partially outside the housing 1 in the direction of perpendicular to the center line 300 of the live-wire pin 200 and matches up with the live-wire pin 200 and the earth-wire pin 100.
In the present utility model, the earth-wire pin 2 is designed to include a plug-in part 21 and a pivoting part 22 extending out from the bend of the plug-in part 21 so that the earth-wire pin 2 takes on a "L" shape as a whole, the end of the pivoting part 22 is of pivoted connection with the housing 1, the plug-in part 21 can move along with the pivoting part 22 between the folding and spreading positions opposite to the housing 1; when the plug-in part 21 is totally spread, the plug-in part 21 is located at least partially outside the housing 1 in the direction of perpendicular to the center line 300 of the live-wire pin 200 and matches up with the live-wire pin 200 and the earth-wire pin 100 so that the live-wire pin 200, the null-wire pin 100 and the earth-wire pin 2 can be inserted into the corresponding jacks of the power socket: on the premise that the power plug can be used normally, it is realizable to make the housing 1 smaller and thus decrease the volume of the whole power plug; when not using the power plug, it is realizable to twine the plug-in part 21 along the rotating center of the pivoting part 22 and then place them in the housing I to further decrease the volume of the whole power plug; in addition, the folding and spreading operations are simple, so it is convenient to carry about and use the power plug.
It can be understood that when the plug-in part 21 is totally spread, if the plug-in part 21 is located largely outside the housing 1 in the direction of perpendicular to the center line 300 of the live-wire pin 200, the size of the housing 1 in the direction of perpendicular to the center line 300 of the live-wire pin 200 can be small and the volume of the housing 1 will be small accordingly; as shown in FIG I. the plug-in part 21 is located totally outside the housing 1 in the direction of perpendicular to the center line 300 of the live-wire pin 200 (meaning complete separation from the housing 1), in this case, the size of housing 1 in the direction of perpendicular to the center line 300 of the live-wire pin 200 can be relatively small and thus can better decrease the volume of the whole power plug.
As an embodiment of the present utility model that: the reverse side of the housing 1 (the side of the housing 1 designed with the live-wire pin 200 and the null-wire pin 100 is defined as the reverse side and the other side is

defined as the obverse side) is located between the live-wire pin 200 and the null-wire pin 100 and designed with a holding groove II extending in the direction of perpendicular to the live-wire pin 200 and the null-wire pin 100 and matching the earth-wire pill 2, the pivoting part 22 can be pivoted and installed in the holding groove 11 at the position approaching one side of the housing 1: when the plug-in part 21 is folded, the plug-in part 21 is wedged at least partially in the holding groove II. In order to further decrease the volume of the power plug after the plug-in part 21 is folded, limit the position of the plug-in part 21 and increase the overall aesthetic degree of the power plug, when the earth-wire pin 2 is totally spread, the pivoting part 22 is supported by the area on the bottom wall of the holding groove II adjacent to the side of the housing 1 to limit the spreading and swing amplitudes of the plug-in part 21 and thus prevent the plug-in part 21 from excessive swing; in this case, when the plug-in part 21 of the earth-wire pin 2 is totally spread, it can be used in combination with the live-wire pin and the null-wire pin 100.
As an embodiment of the present utility model that: the side wall of the holding groove 11 is designed with a pivoting groove III at the position approaching the side of the housing I. the end of the pivoting part 22 is designed with a spindle 221 inserted into the pivoting groove 111 and the spindle 22 is mobile in the pivoting groove III. The pivoting part 22 can be pivoted and installed in the holding groove II so that the pivoting part 22 can drive the plug-in part 21 to move between the folding and spreading positions.

Concretely, the side wall of the holding groove 11 is designed with a through groove at the position corresponding to the wedging-in groove 42 and forms an avoiding space, the side wall of the holding groove II is designed with an elastic arm 40 extending into the avoiding space, the elastic arm extends out of the wedging-in position 41 in the direction of the wedging-in groove 42; when the wedging-in position 41 is stressed, it can drive the elastic arm to undergo elastic deformation and swing and make the wedging-in position 41 move between the positions of wedging in and exiting from the wedging-in groove 42; preferably, the side of the wedging-in position 41 away from the bottom wall of the holding groove II is beveled or cambered, and when the plug-in part 21 compels the wedging-in position 41 to be away from the bottom wall of the holding groove 11, it is realizable to lead the elastic arm to undergo elastic deformation via the beveled or cambered side for the plug-in part 21 to pass, and after the plug-in part 21 is totally folded, the elastic arm drives the wedging-in position 41 through elastic reset and swing to wedge in the wedging-in 42. - CLAIMS1 A power plug comprises a housing and a plurality of pins designed onto the housing (the pins include a live-wire pin, a null-wire pin and an earth-wire pin), wherein the earth-wire pin includes a plug-in part and a pivoting part extending out from the bend of the plug-in part, the end of the pivoting part is of pivoted connection with the housing and can drive the plug-in part move between the folding and spreading positions opposite to the housing; when the plug-in part is totally spread, the plug-in part is located at least partially outside the housing in the direction of perpendicular to the center line of the live-wire pin and matches up with the live-wire pin and the earth-wire pin.
- 2 The power plug in accordance with Claim 1, wherein the reverse side of the housing is located between the live-wire pin and the null-wire pin and designed with a holding groove extending in the direction of perpendicular to the live-wire pin and the null-wire pin and matching up with the earth-wire pin, the pivoting part can be pivoted and installed in the holding groove at the position approaching one side of the housing; when the plug-in part is folded, the plug-in part is wedged at least partially in the holding groove.
- 3 The power plug in accordance with Claim 2, wherein the side wall of the holding groove is designed with a pivoting groove at the position approaching the side of the housing, the end of the pivoting part is designed with a spindle inserted into the pivoting groove and the spindle is mobile in the pivoting groove.
- 4 The power plug in accordance with Claim 3, wherein the bottom wall of the holding groove is concave corresponding to the pivoting part and one end of the pivoting groove extends into the concave.
- The power plug in accordance with Claim 4, wherein the bottom wall of the holding groove consists of the hollowed-out part integrated by two side walls of the holding groove as well as the support part connecting the side walls and enclosing the hollowed-out area of the hollowed-out part, the concave part of the holding groove is enclosed by the support part.
- 6 The power plug in accordance with Claim 1, wherein the a locating device is designed between the pivoting part and the holding groove; when the plug-in part is totally spread, the locating device can locate the pivoting part at this position; when the plug-in part is slightly swung in the folding direction, it is allowed to cancel the locating device from locating the pivoting part.
- 7 The power plug in accordance with Claim 6, wherein the locating device comprises a locating groove designed at the pivoting part and a locating block designed at the side wall of the holding groove, the locating block is mobile between the positions of being wedging in and exiting from the locating groove.
- 8 The power plug in accordance with Claim 2, wherein the side wall of the holding groove is designed with a wedging-in position at the position corresponding to the plug-in part and the side wall of the plug-in part is designed with a wedging-in groove for wedging the wedging-in position in.
- 9 The power plug in accordance with any of Claims 2-8, wherein one end of the plug-in part is designed with a wrench part extending outwards.
- 10. The power plug in accordance with Claim 9, wherein the wrench part extends upwards in the length direction of the plug-in part, the end of the holding groove adjacent to one side of the housing is open or both ends are open, the area of the side of the housing corresponding to the open end of the holding groove is designed with a groove enclosing the open end; when the plug-in part is totally folded, die free end of the plug-in part and/or the end of the wrench part extend or extends out of the holding groove and enter or enters the groove.
