Description

MODULAR, TAMPER-PROOF AND WATERTIGHT CABINET, FOR PARCEL DELIVERY/RECEPTION
DESCRIPTION
Purpose of the invention The purpose of the invention refers to a modular, tamper-proof cabinet with automatic water drainage for parcel delivery/reception, in which some or all of its components have integrated rain guards so that it is particularly appropriate for outdoor use.
According to the invention, in the advocated modular cabinet, the modules are grouped using 10 external panels (side and roof) that give exterior continuity to the overall unit, closed on the front with integrated non-protruding doors with respect to these exterior panels (sides and roof); and in which some or all of its components include rain guards.
Indistinctly, each module can be a single parcel compartment (with a door that accesses a single parcel compartment) or a multi-parcel compartment (with several parcel compartments, 15 each one provided with a door to access it), with one or several parcel compartments accessible separately from the others, even by different users with different keys.
The modules are grouped according to any combination or arrangement. Using modules of different geometry/sizes, and/or in any number or arrangement, the final composition of the overall modular unit is obtained, which is different according to user's needs.
The doors are mounted on the front face of the modules, using hinges: preferably each one locking a parcel compartment and fitting flush with respect to the side panels and the roof, thus offering tamper-proof protection.
The walls of the modules and the intermediate shelves that delimit their parcel compartments, as well as the doors, side panels and the roof panel all have the corresponding rain guards, to 25 ensure the impermeability of the interior of the parcel compartments.
In addition, the modular set has a bottom frame, in which the side panels are also mounted, configuring a single rigid set.
Background of the invention
In the current state of the art, cabinets are already known that have locked parcel compartments for parcel delivery/receipt. These cabinets have a single-modular configuration (for example and among others, those described in documents GB2430608 and EP1237445) or a multi-modular configuration (for example and among others, those described in documents US20190102962. US20120194043. W02019025616, 0B2437967 and GB2430705) and are used either unitarily or else forming groups of parcel compartments prepared for the safe delivery/reception of papers, parcels or other objects when the addressee is not present.
Technical problem to solve The known cabinets for parcel delivery/reception, whether they are single-or multi-modular, with single or multiple parcel compartments, and those with or without feet, present problems of impermeability and, generally, are not used outdoors because of adverse weather events (such as snow, ice or rain), as they easily allow water to pass into the parcel compartments, with the risk of deteriorating the content.
Furthermore, the known cabinets of this type offer low resistance to tampering; and the risk of tampering is accentuated when the cabinets are placed in open spaces, outdoors.
Description of the invention
The purpose of the invention overcomes these problems, advocating a modular cabinet for parcels in which all its components have one or several rain guards, in such a way that the 20 overall set, with or without feet, can be used outdoors. it is characterized by consisting of, at least: * a module, or a combination of modules arranged laterally or vertically; each module presenting a parcel compartment, or a combination of parcel compartments, * a door, or a combination of doors, each of which frontally locks at least one parcel compartment, to allow access to different parcel compartments separately, being supported on the overlapping and affixed rain guards, joining it and leaving a radius in the joint on which the door is supported allowing its easy movement, reinforcing in this way the tamper-proof and watertight action.
* their identical side panels and a roof panel which close the set, giving it exterior continuity.
The walls of the modules and the intermediate shelves that delimit the parcel compartments, as well as the doors, side panels, roof panel the bottom frame have corresponding rain guards equipped with outlet holes that ensure that water does not accumulate and/or overflow the rain guards so that they ensure that the parcel compartments are impermeable as well as serve as an additional reinforcement against tampering.
From this basic structuring, any realizations that do not alter, change or modify the essential proposal are included in the purpose of the invention. Indistinctly, the following, for example, 10 are included in the purpose of the invention: * to use, indistinctly, modules with a single or various parcel compartments, grouped into any combination or arrangement; * to use doors that lock one or several parcel compartments; * to use horizontal or sloped roof panels; or * to place all of it on a bottom frame, with or without feet.
In particular, it can also be characterized by the rain guards being formed by a portion of sheet metal that is an extension of the metal used to form the corresponding element of the cited set, with this portion of sheet metal having a U-shaped profile, provided with at least one duct for draining water to the exterior.
Indistinctly and included in the purpose of the invention is that the rain guards are separate and are mounted on the walls of the modules and on the intermediate shelves that delimit their parcel compartments, as well as on the doors, side panels, roof panel and the bottom frame.
Other configurations and advantages of the invention can be deduced from the following description and the dependent claims.
Description of the drawings
In order to understand the invention better, a preferred form of realization is represented in the attached figures, susceptible to accessory changes that do not detract from its basic principles. In this case: Figure 1 shows a general schematic exploded view of a modular cabinet for parcel service in accordance with the invention, for an example of realization that includes, at least, one component of each type: module (1), side panels (3), doors (5), and a horizontal roof panel (4a).
In this figure a horizontal roof panel (4a) and a sloped roof panel (4b) are shown, which can 10 be used indistinctly but not simultaneously, in any module (1) combination.
Figure 2 shows a schematic view of one of the modules (1) of the previous figure, with its exploded components and the integrated rear guides (10).
Figure 3 shows a profile section of a module (1) with the doors (5) integrated in their rain guards (2), and with an enlarged "B" close-up, where the support radius (21) of the rain guards (2) is noted.
Figure 4 shows a profile section of a module (1) turned with a horizontal roof (4a) and the doors (5) integrated in their rain guards (2), and with an enlarged "Cl" close-up, where the support radius (21), U-shaped, of the rain guards (2) is noted.
Figure 5 shows a profile section of a module (1) with a sloped roof (4b) and the doors (5) 20 integrated in their rain guards (2), and with an enlarged "C2" close-up, where the support radius (21) of the rain guards (2) is noted.
Figure 6 shows a ground plan section of a module (1) with its side panel (3) and the doors (5) integrated in their rain guards (2), and an enlarged "D" close-up, where the flush positioning of the doors (5) with respect to the side panel (3) is noted.
Figure 7 shows a schematic view in perspective of a frame (6) for the example of the realization of Figure 1.
Detailed description of a preferred realization
Below is described a practical example of this invention, without being limited to this. Other realization modes in which accessory changes may be introduced that do not detract from its basic principle are not ruled out at all.
The modular cabinet for delivery/reception of parcels, the purpose of the invention, consists of at least the following: * a module (1), or a combination of modules (1) * some side panels (3) * a roof panel (4) * a door (5), or a combination of doors (5) The modules (1) are grouped according to any combination or arrangement of them. In turn, each module (1) is formed by its panels-wall (1a), a back panel (lb), an upper panel (lc) and a lower panel (1d). It opens on the front and has some integrated rear guides (100) on which one or several intermediate shelves are supported (10) that delimit in each module (1) a parcel compartment (11) or a combination of parcel compartments (11) opened frontally and that are locked by means of their doors (5).
Using modules (1) of different geometry/sizes, and/or any number and arrangement, the final composition of the modular cabinet unit is obtained, which is different as needed.
This final composition is closed on both sides using the side panels (3), and above, using a 20 roof panel that indistinctly can be a horizontal roof panel (4a) or a sloped roof panel (4b).
As observed in the close-up of Figure 6, the cited side panels (3) are of folded sheet metal, with dual-angled edges (31a) and whose front panel face (30) reaches or extends beyond the exterior plane of the doors (5).
In the realization example shown in Figure 4, a horizontal roof panel (4a) is used, which is 25 mounted perpendicularly to the doors (5) and is of folded sheet metal with dual-angled edges (41a) whose front panel face (40) reaches or extends beyond the exterior plane of the doors (5)-In the realization example shown in Figure 5, a sloped roof panel (4b) is used, which is mounted obliquely to the doors (5) and is of folded sheet metal with flush edges (41b) that extend beyond the exterior plane of the doors (5), providing impermeability.
Each door (5) frontally locks a parcel compartment (11) and allows access to different parcel 5 compartments (11) separately.
The finished set offers exterior continuity and certain tamper-proof protection given that the doors (5) are integrated in the set and fit flush with respect to the side (3) and roof panels (4a) or (4b).
In addition, the modular cabinet for parcel delivery/reception, in line with the invention, also 10 has a bottom frame (6), on which all the components of the previous set are placed. See figure 1.
This bottom frame (6) is a sheet (61) folded over itself defining a volume of constant height and various open areas (62) in accordance with the number of modules (1) that are placed on it, with these openings (62) being delimited by border areas (60) throughout their perimeter.
At least one crosspiece (61) is also defined between each two open areas (62). The border areas (60) and this crosspiece (61), or crosspieces (61), if there is more than one, have holes (63) to be used in mounting the modules (1).
Indistinctly for the purposes of the invention, the frame (6) may or may not have feet (7).
The walls of the modules (1), the intermediate shelves (10) that delimit their parcel 20 compartments (11), as well as the doors (5), the side panels (3) and/or the roof panel (4) can have their corresponding rain guards (2), to ensure impermeability of the interior of the parcel compartments (11).
Each rain guard (2) is formed by a piece of sheet metal (21) that is the extension of the sheet used to form the corresponding element of the cabinet, with this portion of sheet metal (21) 25 having a U-shaped profile provided with, at least, one duct (20) to drain the water.
On the walls (la) and on the intermediate shelves (10) of the module (1), this portion of sheet metal (21) that constitutes the rain guard (2) is located on the front edge.
On the doors (5), on the side panels (3) and on the roof panel (4), this portion of sheet metal (21) that constitutes the rain guard (2) is located on one, several or all of the edges, in their respective internal face.
The materials, dimensions, proportions and, in general, other accessory or secondary details 5 that do not alter, change or modify the proposed essentiality may vary.
The terms in which this report is drawn up are a true and faithful reflection of the described purpose, having to be taken in its broadest sense and never in a limiting manner.
