Abstract

A sex toy 1 comprises a first portion configured to be inserted and held in use in the vaginal cavity of a wearer, the first portion comprising an inner arm 3 configured to be held in the vaginal cavity, and a second portion 4 having an outer end 8 that extends forwards and outwards from the vaginal cavity. The outer end 8 has a female port 9 configured to receive a male adaptor, to allow a range of further devices to be removably attached. An outer cover may be provided to increase the size of the first portion.

Description

A SEX TOY

FIELD

The present invention relates to a sex toy with an adaptor to allow connection to a second sex toy. More particularly, the present invention relates to a sex toy for 5 insertion into the vaginal cavity that has an external adaptor configured to allow connection to a second sex toy.

BACKGROUND

There are many different types of sex toys that are commercially available, for use by both men and women. One particular type of popular sex toy is a strap on, which is a harness worn around the waist, with an attachment at the front to which a sex toy can be attached, most commonly a dildo that mimics the wearing partner having an erect penis. This allows a lesbian couple to have straight-style sex, with the non-wearing partner being penetrated, or for a man to be penetrated by their female partner. However these types of devices do not provide any internal stimulation, or in the majority of cases, any external stimulation, for the wearer.

Another popular type of sex toy is the strapless dildo such as the FeeIdoeTM, which is a unitary or one-piece item with one end shaped for insertion into a vaginal cavity, and the other end extending forwards to mimic an erect penis when the first end is in place. In a similar manner to the strap-on, this allows a couple to have penetrative sex, with penetration and direct stimulation of both partners. An example of a strapless dildo is shown and described in US5,690,603. The FeeldoeTM device is a one-piece device which does not allow for freedom of choice as to which penetrating end to use.

Other devices are known, which are modular to allow the attachment of different types of dildo or sex toy, such as for example the device shown in US8,062,208, where one end acts as a base for insertion into a vaginal cavity, with a frontwards outer ring-shaped connecting portion extending outwards and forwards and formed in a ring to allow a dildo or similar to be connected. The presented connections are suitable for a limited number of toys which have a retaining planar base.

Another device known as the InJoyUs, manufactured by New Love Creations, comprises a base part for insertion into a vaginal cavity, the base part having a male connector formed on the outer frontwards part, to allow connection to a dildo with a rear female port such as that shown and described in US2014/0228628. One disadvantage is that the InJoyUs toy has a proprietary outer connector which is only compatible with a limited number of toys.

US5,127,396 shows and describes a dildo attachment that has a female connection port formed in the base or rear end to allow connection to a harness or similar, as 5 well as an adaptor to use for connecting two female ports.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, reference to such external documents is not to be construed as an admission that such documents, or such sources of information, in any jurisdiction, are prior art, or form part of the common general knowledge in the art.

SUMMARY

It is an object of the present invention to provide a sex toy which goes some way to overcoming the abovementioned disadvantages or which at least provides the public 15 or industry with a useful choice.

The term "comprising" as used in this specification and indicative independent claims means "consisting at least in part of". When interpreting each statement in this specification and indicative independent claims that includes the term "comprising", features other than that or those prefaced by the term may also be present. Related terms such as "comprise" and "comprises" are to be interpreted in the same manner.

As used herein the term "and/or" means "and" or "or", or both.

As used herein "(s)" following a noun means the plural and/or singular forms of the noun.

Accordingly, in a first aspect the present invention may broadly be said to consist in a sex toy, comprising: a first portion configured to be inserted and held in use in the vaginal cavity of a wearer, the first portion comprising an inner end configured to be held in the vaginal cavity, and a second portion having an outer end that extends forwards and outwards from the vaginal cavity; the outer end comprising a female port configured to receive a male adaptor.

In an embodiment, the first and second portions are arranged in a U-, L-or V-shape relative to one another.

In an embodiment, the first and second portions are arranged at an acute angle to one another.

In an embodiment, the sex toy is formed as a unitary body.

In an embodiment, the sex toy comprises a unitary outer body and an internal frame. In an embodiment, the frame is formed from metal or other sturdy material.

In an embodiment, the frame comprises two arms connected by a central pivot adapted to allow the angle between the two arms to be altered, the arms extending one each along the interiors of the first and second portions.

In an embodiment, the outer end comprises a flat planar surface at the outermost port, the outer rim or perimeter of the free outer end formed with an out-turned or convex edge ridge.

In an embodiment, at least the upper surface of the second portion comprises a plurality of ribs In an embodiment, the ribs extend substantially circumferentially around the second portion In an embodiment, the ribs are spaced substantially equidistant from one another.

In an embodiment, the sex toy further comprises an internal cavity formed in one or both of the first and/or second portions, the internal cavity configured to receive a bullet vibrator so that vibrations from the bullet vibrator are transmitted through the sex toy in use.

In an embodiment, the sex toy further comprises a removable cover configured to fit 20 over the first portion to increase the volume/size of the first portion.

In an embodiment, the cover is formed from an elastic material.

With respect to the above description then, it is to be realised that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of the invention, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by the present invention.

This invention may also be said broadly to consist in the parts, elements and features referred to or indicated in the specification of the application, individually or collectively, and any or all combinations of any two or more said parts, elements or features, and where specific integers are mentioned herein which have known equivalents in the art to which this invention relates, such known equivalents are deemed to be incorporated herein as if individually set forth.

Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the invention. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the invention to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the invention.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES

Figure 11 shows a side view of an embodiment of the toy, showing ribs extending circumferentially substantially fully around the outer arm.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

An embodiment of the sex toy of the invention is shown in the figures The sex toy 1 has a generally U-, L-or V-shaped unitary main body 2 that comprises an inner arm 3 and an outer arm 4, that form the two arms of the U-shape. The inner and outer arms 3, 4 are arranged at an angle just under a right-angle or 90 degrees.

The body 2 can be formed as a single material unitary body, from a suitable flexible rubber or plastic material, or the rubber or plastic outer portion can be built around an internal metal frame 13 that provides additional rigidity. In an embodiment, the metal frame 13 comprises two metal arms 13a and 13b arranged and connected to that the angle between the arms can be adjusted via a central pivot 14, as shown in figure 9, with the rubber/plastic outer body bending around these.

The inner arm 3 is configured for insertion into the vaginal cavity, and has a wide and rounded main body portion 5 with a tapered and rounded free or outer end, with a narrower neck 6 at the inner end where the inner and outer arms 3, 4 connect.

The outer arm 4 is generally rounded, and is configured in use to extend outwards and forwards, so that if a person using the sex toy 1 is standing or kneeling, the outer arm will extend forwards angled slightly upwards, below the vagina and between the legs of a user. The upper surface of the outer arm 4 (that surface aligned towards the face of a user, and upwards if they are standing or kneeling) can optionally be formed with a series of ribs 7 running around the outer arm. The ribs 7 provide clitoral stimulation in use and provide a placement for the use of a cock ring for additional stimulation. The ribs in an embodiment run around substantially the entirely of the circumference, as shown in figure 11. However, in other embodiments, these could be limited to the top part of the outer arm. It is preferred that the ribs are spaced substantially equidistant from one another along the outer arm.

The neck 6 is formed so as to provide a robust connection between the inner and outer arms 3, 4. In the preferred embodiment of sex toy 1, a cavity 12 is formed in the neck 6, extending through into the outer arm 4 with an aperture at the lower side, as shown in figure 8. The cavity 12 is shaped and configured to receive a bullet vibrator (via the aperture). When this is operating and the sex toy is being used, this adds extra stimulation for both partners via vibration, but especially for the wearer, and also provides additional support and rigidity around the neck area.

The outer arm 4 can be fitted with an additional egg-shaped cover to increase its size for those who prefers larger vaginal insertables, as shown in figure 10 In this embodiment, the removable egg-shell cover is made of an elastic material that is used to increase the volume/size of this part. This can help to address diverse physical needs and improve holding of the toy in vaginal cavity and sensations of the wearer.

The free outer end 8 of the outer arm 4 is formed as a flat planar surface that will be generally vertically aligned when a user is standing or kneeling. A female port 9 is formed in the flat surface of the flat planar surface, the female port configured to receive a male adapter such as the double-ended male adaptor 10 shown in the figures. This could be for example a Vac-U-Lock adaptor such as is shown in figure 10 of US5,127,396, and described therein.

The outer rim or perimeter of the free outer end can be formed with a slightly out-turned or convex edge ridge, formed so that a cock ring or similar additional item slipped over the end of the outer arm 4 will be held in place and will not slip off. This assists in accommodating a toy designed to be used on a male penis such as a vibrating cock ring.

In use, a user inserts the adaptor 10 into the female port 9, as shown in figures 3, 4, 5 and 6. They can then attach any toy that also has a female port at the rear end, such as the dildo 11 shown in figure 7, so that this toy extends forwards to the front of the user/wearer of the sex toy 1.

A user can also directly attach any sex toy that has a suitable male adapter at the rear end, by plugging this directly into the female port 9.

This arrangement allows a user to securely and robustly attach and use a variety of different toys, using a single base platform (the sex toy 1), rather than having to purchase and use a number of different items that may only be suitable for a single use, or which only have limited modular adaptability.

Claims

Claims 1. A sex toy, comprising: a first portion configured to be inserted and held in use in the vaginal cavity of a wearer, the first portion comprising an inner end configured to be held in the vaginal 5 cavity, and a second portion having an outer end that extends forwards and outwards from the vaginal cavity; the outer end comprising a female port configured to receive a male adaptor.
2. A sex toy as claimed in claim 1 wherein the first and second portions are arranged in a U-, L-or V-shape relative to one another.
3. A sex toy as claimed in claim 1 or claim 2 wherein the first and second portions are arranged at an acute angle to one another.
4. A sex toy as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 3 wherein the sex toy is formed as a unitary body.
5. A sex toy as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 4 wherein the sex toy comprises a 15 unitary outer body and an internal frame.
6. A sex toy as claimed in claim 5 wherein the frame is formed from metal or other sturdy material.
7. A sex toy as claimed in claim 5 or claim 6 wherein the frame comprises two arms connected by a central pivot adapted to allow the angle between the two arms to be 20 altered, the arms extending one each along the interiors of the first and second portions.
8. A sex toy as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 7 wherein the outer end comprises a flat planar surface at the outermost port, the outer rim or perimeter of the free outer end formed with an out-turned or convex edge ridge.
9. A sex toy as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 8 wherein at least the upper surface of the second portion comprises a plurality of ribs.
10. A sex toy as claimed in claim 9 wherein the ribs extend substantially circumferentially around the second portion.
11. A sex toy as claimed in claim 9 or claim 10 wherein the ribs are spaced 30 substantially equidistant from one another.
12. A sex toy as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 11 further comprising an internal cavity formed in one or both of the first and/or second portions, the internal cavity configured to receive a bullet vibrator so that vibrations from the bullet vibrator are transmitted through the sex toy in use.
13. A sex toy as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 12 further comprising a removable cover configured to fit over the first portion to increase the volume/size of the first 5 porton.
14. A sex toy as claimed in claim 13 wherein the cover is formed from an elastic material.
