Abstract
A cleaning apparatus for circuit boards, a first conveyor (3 in fig 3, is hidden behind 2 in fig 1) delivering the boards to one of at least two cleaning shells 200 held on a motor driven axel mounted to support 50 such that the shells rotate to deliver a cleaned board to second conveyor 1 having weep holes. The shells thus utilise gravity to allow both sides of the board to be brushed by the mechanism in the shells. Between the loading and unloading position of the axel, there is a brush cleaning position. A mechanism inside the shell (figures 5 to 9) moves with the aid of a gear (701 fig 5) mating with fixed internal gear (601 fig 8) to both turn tubes carrying brushes for cleaning the board surface and to move a stop rod down into the shell to lower the board into the shell and past the brushes. The stop rod is fixed to a chain (207 fig 5) running between spaced turntables (205, 206 fig 5) connected to the gear 701. The brushes can be cleaned by cleaning water from discharge tube 53 when the shells are temporarily aligned (not shown) with a second motor driven shaft (100 fig 8) fixed to the support. The shaft drives threaded rods( figs 7, 9) that are located inside the brush tubes and mate with threads inside the tubes to preferably drive the brushes to rotate out of the cleaning space in the shell to a temporary cleaning position. The present invention is able to automatically clean two sides of the circuit board as well as brushes, thereby avoiding a failed cleaning of the circuit board due to dirty brushes.

the brushes 801 are moved out of the cleaning spaces; thereby the circuit board blocked by the brushes 801 is turned over; after the cleaning is finished, the motor rotates reversely to drive the threaded rods 700 to rotate, thereby the brushes 801 are driven back to the cleaning spaces, and at this time, the brushes 801 contact another side of the circuit board; and the fixed cylinder 100 is started to drive the splines 950 and the spline grooves to separate-from each other, thereby the motor is started to drive the 200 to rotate, thereby the gears 701 engage to the internal gear 601 to drive the gears 701 to rotate, thereby the brushes 801 are driven to rotate to clean another side of the circuit board, and at the same time, abutment rods push the circuit board to move towards outsides of the cleaning spaces, thereby another side of the circuit board is cleaned up; by arranging diameters of the first engaged gears 818 as a half of diameters of the second engaged gears 819, the diameters of the second engaged gears 819 and third engaged gears 820 are same, thereby when the circuit board moves slowly, the brushes 801 are capable of speeding up rotations, thereby a better washing is performed to the circuit board.
[0022] The ejection rods comprise cylindrical pipes 250 fixedly arranged on one ends of the fixed rods 203, wherein round bars 251 are movably arranged in the cylindrical pipes 250, wherein flexible springs are fixedly arranged on bottoms of the round bars 251 and the cylindrical pipes 250; whereby when the round bars 251 rotate to enter into the hole grooves and the round bars 251 contact the support rods 209, the round bars 251 are driven to move towards interiors of the cylindrical pipes 250 under actions of the flexible springs; when the round bars 251 rotate to separate from the support rods 209, the round bars 251 are inserted into the hole grooves under the actions of the flexible springs; thereby the brushes 801 rotate to drive the rotation shaft to move through a close contact between two of the ejection rods and the support rods 209, thereby a movement of the circuit board and a brushing are performed at the same time, thereby any parts of the circuit board are capable of being cleaned; the round tubes 201 are capable of being coupled to the first turntables 205 tightly when in the rotation by arranging the flexible springs, thereby a failing coupling of the round tubes 201 and the first turntables 205 due to an extrusion between the round bars 251 and the support rods 209 is avoided.
[0023] A first water receiving < 888 is arranged on a lower side of the second conveyor 804, and a second water receiving tank 889 is arranged on a lower side of the discharging tube 53; whereby water flew from the cleaning spaces into the second conveyor 804 is capable of entering into the second water receiving tank 889 by arranging the second water receiving tank 889, thereby the situation like water splash out of the present invention is avoided.
[0024] Two of rubber pads are fixedly arranged on two end walls of the cleaning spaces, thereby a damage of the circuit board due to a collision between the end walls or the cleani spaces arid the circuit board when in rolling-over is avoided.
[0025] Spline grooves are arranged on one end surface of the threaded rods 700 closit support plate 50.
