Abstract
A compression mask anatomically shaped for the malar/infraorbital area to promote the movement of the lymphatic fluid which might otherwise lead to swelling of the malar/infraorbital area. The mask may cover the eyes, lower cheeks, chin, nose and/or forehead area. The mask may include electrodes and/or rollers. The mask may contain beads or weights which may allow the mask to be heated or chilled. The mask may be adjustable by a strap or straps, or any other fastenings. The mask may contain a nose bridge which may be anatomically designed to alleviate stress and/or pressure on the bridge of the nose. The mask may have an adjustable nasal area to accommodate different facial structures and width of nasal passages.

Invention Description
Malar Mask Malar bags, also known as Malar Mounds, can appear at any age in a person's lifetime. They can occur whether the person is male or female, old or young, as a result of surgery or as a result of lifestyle, as a result of diet, as a combination of these factors, or as a random event.
It happens when fluids collect in the infraorbital region of the face (below the orbital region, lateral to the nose, and above the buccal region i.e. the upper cheek area) and may become worse overnight, when the body is horizontal and fluid is unable to drain away towards the heart.
These Malar Bags or Malar Mounds may be unsightly and make the afflicted person feel both self-conscious and aged.
An object of this invention is to provide a shaped compression mask for the malar region of the face to reduce, relieve and/or prevent malar swelling and oedema.
Accordingly the invention provides a compression facial mask which will facilitate the draining of toxins and fluids and promote the movement of the lymphatic fluid which might otherwise lead to swelling of the malar/infraorbital area. Preferably the mask will be anatomically shaped for the malar/infraorbital area and may or may not also cover the eyes, lower cheeks, chin, nose and forehead area or any combination of these areas. The mask may or may not include electrodes and/or rollers, to roller or stimulate the muscle, aid the drainage of fluids and stimulate collagen production in the tissue. The mask may or may not contain beads or weights made of any material, and of any size, shape and/or colour, inside the fabric, which may or may not allow the mask to be heated or chilled. The mask may or may not be adjustable by a strap or straps, buttons, studs, buckles, zips, Velcro, magnetic or any other fastenings or combination of fastenings. The material of the mask may be cotton, linen, lycra, latex, plastic, silicone or any other material or combinations of materials. The mask may provide compression for the malar area from the material of its construction and/or by the method of its fastenings or in any combination of these and/or in any other way. The mask may be of any size, shape, dimensions and/or colour or any combination of size, shape, dimensions and colour. The mask may or may not contain a nose bridge made of plastic, leather, latex, rubber, silicone or any other material.
The nose bridge may or may not be anatomically designed to alleviate stress and/or pressure on the bridge of the nose. The mask may or may not have an adjustable nasal area to accommodate different facial structures and width of nasal passages.
A preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: FIGURE 1 shows the frontal view of the Malar Mask where a strap goes around the back of the mask FIGURE 2 shows the back view of the Malar Mask where the strap goes around the back and has an adjustable fixing and where the nasal bridge can be fully seen with its rests FIGURE 3 shows the front view of a Malar Mask where the eyes are also covered.
