Abstract

A wearable communication for measuring, recording and monitoring user’s vital signs e.g. heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels and temperature; and communicating recordings to medical professionals e.g. doctor, hospital, paramedic, care giver; or other communication devices wirelessly or via a cellular network. The body of the device has operating buttons 3A, 4A, cameras 5A, a mic 9A, speaker, SIM card slot 6A, touch screen, flashing lights on the rear (7A, fig 5), and straps 2A for attaching the device to the user e.g. wrist or ankle. The device may allow direct communication between user and medical professional and/or recordings of audio, video and photographic images to be transferred to a medical professional, including the user’s location; as a means to allow appropriate care to the user. The device may alert third parties if it detects an unconscious user, sending user details e.g. name, vital readings and images; with may be activated manually via manual distress button 8A, wherein images may be used to locate the user. Information may be transferred from the device by scanning a barcode on the device. A registration barcode may associate the device to the user and facial recognition, or fingerprints restricts access.
