Abstract

An anti-counterfeiting structure for a bottle cap, comprising an upper cap (1), a base (2), and an anti-counterfeiting ring (3). The base (2) is mounted on an opening of a bottle by engaging with the same. The upper cap (1) is mounted above the base (2) by means of a threaded connection. The anti-counterfeiting ring (3) is provided at a joint between the upper cap (1) and the base (2), and comprises an upper ring (31), a lower ring (32), and multiple connecting bridges (33) connecting the upper ring (31) to the lower ring (32). The upper ring (31) and the lower ring (32) respectively engage with the upper cap (1) and the base (2). The connecting bridges (33) engage with the joint between the upper cap (1) and the base (2).

Description

ANTI-COUNTERFEITING STRUCTURE FOR BOTTLE CAP
The present invention relates to the field of bottle cap, and more specifically relates to anti-counterfeiting structure for bottle cap.
A bottle cap is used on a bottle, and can be designed to have diversified functions and shapes depending on its intended function on the bottle. High end products in the market also require anti-counterfeiting function on their packaging. The anti-counterfeiting function may be realized on the packaging box, the bottle or the bottle cap.
An anti-counterfeiting bottle cap now available in the market is usually realized by combined use of aluminum and plastics, wherein LDPE (low-density polyethylene) material is used to engage the bottle opening to achieve sealing effect. The anti-counterfeiting structure is assembled from components manufactured by different manufacturing equipment, wherein the anti-counterfeiting structure has an upper cap, a lower seat and a security ring. However, structural configurations of the prior anti-counterfeiting structure have each of the independent components assembled to one another without any intertwining or interconnection of the components. Therefore, assembly of the prior art anti-counterfeiting structure requires only low technical skill. The most common type of anti-counterfeiting structure in the market is realized by irreversible damages, wherein a bottle cap with such an anti-counterfeiting structure is usually a bottle cap with a simple security ring. This kind of bottle cap is structurally simple, wherein anti-counterfeiting function is realized by configuring a periphery of the security ring to have a slit provided with bridges which can be torn when someone rotates the bottle cap to open the bottle. However, a bottle cap with such an anti-counterfeiting structure can be easily mocked by infamous manufacturers to reap high profits by selling counterfeited products.
In view of the above, prior art anti-counterfeiting structure of a bottle cap is generally formed by assembling independent components. As such, the structures of the various components are independent from one another, and they are only assembled together to form the anti-counterfeiting structure. Accordingly, the prior art anti-counterfeiting structure requires low technical skill; also, its anti-counterfeiting function can be easily nullified and its structure is easy to mock with a low cost. Therefore, an anti-counterfeiting structure for bottle cap is required to solve the problems now existing in the prior art.
In view of the aforesaid disadvantages now in the prior art, the present invention solves the problems in the prior art by providing an anti-counterfeiting structure that is difficult to mock and can effectively perform the function of anti-counterfeiting.
An anti-counterfeiting structure for bottle cap, comprising an upper cap, a seat, and a security ring; the seat is fitted onto a bottle opening; the upper cap is connected with an upper portion of the seat by screw threads; the security ring is positioned at a connecting portion between the upper cap and the seat; the security ring comprises an upper ring, a lower ring and at least two bridges connecting the upper ring and the lower ring; the upper ring is fitted to the upper cap; the lower ring is fitted to the seat; the bridges are fitted to the connecting portion between the upper cap and seat.
Further, a first anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove is provided along a peripheral direction around an outer side wall of the upper cap; a bottom side of an outer side wall of the upper cap is provided with at least two upper vertical channels; each of the upper vertical channels is in communication with the first anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove; the seat comprises sequentially from top to bottom an upper cap connecting portion, a security ring mounting portion and a bottle opening connecting portion; a second anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove is provided along a peripheral direction around the security ring mounting portion a top side of the security ring mounting portion is provided with at least two lower vertical channels; each of the lower vertical channels is in communication with the second anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove; the upper vertical channels are in communication with the respective lower vertical channels to define at least two third anti-counterfeiting injection molding grooves.
Further, the upper vertical channels and the respective lower vertical channels correspond to each other respectively along an axial direction of the bottle cap; the upper ring of the security ring is fitted into the first anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove; the lower ring of the security ring is fitted into the second anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove; each of the bridges is fitted into a corresponding third anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove.
Further, the security ring is formed by a single injection molding procedure using the first anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove, the second anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove and the third anti-counterfeiting injection molding grooves.
Further, an inner side wall of the bottle opening connecting portion is provided sequentially from top to bottom a first flange and a second flange; a first annular locking groove is defined between the first flange and the second flange; an outer side wall of an upper portion of the bottle is provided sequentially from top to bottom a third flange and a fourth flange; a second annular locking groove is defined between the third flange and the fourth flange; the first flange is fitted to the second annular locking groove; the fourth flange is fitted to the first annular locking groove.
Further, a plurality of upper elongated projections are provided in the first anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove; a plurality of lower elongated projections are provided in the second anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove; the lower elongated projections in the second anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove correspond to the upper elongated projections in the first anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove; when the lower elongated projections in the second anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove correspond to the upper elongated projections in the first anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove, the upper vertical channels are in communication with the lower vertical channels respectively.
Further, the third anti-counterfeiting injection molding grooves are in one or more than one of the following shapes: rectangular shape, rhombus shape, triangular shape, inverted triangular shape, hexagonal shape and hourglass shape wider at two ends and narrower at the middle; a shape of the security ring corresponds to the shapes of the third anti-counterfeiting injection molding grooves.
The present invention has the following beneficial effects: 1. In conventional prior art, the security ring is connected at a lower portion of the upper cap; when the upper cap is initially fitted to the bottle neck by rotation or is threaded to a threaded seat of the bottle, clockwise rotation of the upper cap will create natural mechanical moving force until a proper positioning is achieved where the upper cap is moved downwardly to a position which the security ring itself passes over a locking groove which is slightly larger than the screw threads and which is positioned at a lower portion of the bottle neck; during use, rotate the upper cap in an anti-clockwise direction, and the security ring should be locked firmly at the locking groove which is slightly larger than the screw threads and below the screw threads. Since a certain amount of force has already been used to break the bridges configured on the security ring, continuous anti-clockwise rotation will cause the security ring to break apart from the upper cap, and the security ring broken apart from the upper cap will be left in the lower portion of the locking groove at the bottle neck. Such a conventional prior art bottle cap having this kind of security ring is common and can be mocked easily. In the present invention, the security ring is formed by a single injection molding procedure, and the security ring embraces an outer side where the upper cap and the seat meet each other. When the upper cap is rotated anti-clockwise, the bridges of the security ring embracing the upper cap and the seat will be broken or damaged due to rotational stress. Once the upper cap is rotated to be opened, it is difficult to be made and reconstructed at the same place again, thereby achieving effective anti-counterfeiting effect.
2. According to the present invention, the first flange of the bottle opening connecting portion is fitted to the second annular locking groove of the bottle, and the fourth flange of the bottle is fitted to the first annular locking groove of the bottle opening connecting portion. Therefore, a greater frictional force is generated between the bottle opening connecting portion and the seat, so that the seat is firmly fixed onto the bottle opening in a way that the seat will not easily slide or slip off.
3. According to the present invention, a plurality of upper elongated projections are provided in the first anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove and are mutually spaced apart from one another by equal intervals; a plurality of lower elongated projections are provided in the second anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove and are mutually spaced apart from one another by equal intervals; the lower elongated projections correspond to the upper elongated projections; the upper vertical channels are in communication with their respective lower vertical channels. Configuration of the upper elongated projections and the lower elongated projections facilitates alignment of the upper vertical channels and the lower vertical channels when the upper cap is threaded to the set, and also complicates manufacturing of the security ring to achieve anti-counterfeiting effect.

Some embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. Directional references in the following description are mentioned according to the directions shown in FIG. 1.
Fig.1 shows the anti-counterfeiting structure for bottle cap according to the present invention, comprising an upper cap 1, a seat 2, and a security ring 3, wherein: The upper cap 1 and the seat 2 together serve to seal a bottle 4; an inner side wall of the upper cap 1 is provided with screw threads; a first anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove 11 is provided along a peripheral direction around a lower portion of an outer side wall of the upper cap 1; a plurality of upper elongated projections 13 are provided in the first anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove 11 and are mutually spaced apart from one another by equal intervals; a bottom side of the outer side wall of the upper cap 1 (bottom side of the first anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove 11) is provided with a plurality of upper vertical channels 12; a top end of each of the upper vertical channels 12 is in communication with the first anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove 11.
The seat 2 removably fixes the bottle cap onto a bottle opening of the bottle 4 in a sealed manner. The seat 2 comprises sequentially from top to bottom an upper cap connecting portion 21, a security ring mounting portion 22 and a bottle opening connecting portion 23; wherein an outer side wall of the upper cap connecting portion 21 is provided with screw threads; the screw threads of the upper connecting portion 21 engage with the screw threads of the upper cap 1, so that the upper cap 1 can be fixed onto the seat 2 in a sealed manner; a second anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove 221 is provided along a peripheral direction around the security ring mounting portion 22 a plurality of lower elongated projections 223 are provided in the second anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove 221 and are mutually spaced apart from one another by equal intervals; the lower elongated projections 223 in the second anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove 221 correspond to the upper elongated projections 13 in the first anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove 11; a top side of the security ring mounting portion 22 is provided with a plurality of lower vertical channels 222; a lower end of each of the lower vertical channels 222 is in communication with the second anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove 221; the lower vertical channels 222 of the security ring mounting portion 22 correspond to the upper vertical channels 12 of the upper cap 1, so that when the upper cap is threaded onto the seat 2 where the lower elongated projections 223 in the second anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove 221 correspond to the upper elongated projections 13 in the first anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove 11, the upper vertical channels 12 are in communication with the lower vertical channels 222 to define a plurality of third anti-counterfeiting injection molding grooves. As shown in FIGs. 7-10, the third anti-counterfeiting injection molding grooves are in one or more than one of the following shapes: rectangular shape, rhombus shape, triangular shape, inverted triangular shape, hexagonal shape and hourglass shape wider at two ends and narrower at the middle. In the present embodiment, each of the third anti-counterfeiting injection molding grooves has an hourglass shape wider at two ends and narrower at the middle.
An inner side wall of the bottle opening connecting portion 23 is provided sequentially from top to bottom along a peripheral direction thereof a first flange 231 and a second flange 232-a first annular locking groove 233 is defined between the first flange 231 and the second flange 232; an outer side wall of an upper portion of the bottle 4 is provided sequentially from top to bottom along a peripheral direction thereof a third flange 234 and a fourth flange 235; a second annular locking groove 236 is defined between the third flange 234 and the fourth flange 235; the first flange 234 is fitted to the second annular locking groove 236; the fourth flange 235 is fitted to the first annular locking groove 233; as such, the seat is firmly fixed to the bottle 4.
The security ring 3 connects with both the upper cover 1 and the seat 2 to serve an anti-theft function by proving that the bottle cap has not been opened prior to use. The security ring 3 is formed by a single injection molding procedure using the first anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove 11, the second anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove 221 and the third anti-counterfeiting injection molding grooves. The security ring 3 comprises an upper ring 31, a lower ring 32, and a plurality of bridges 33 connecting the upper ring 31 and the lower ring 31; a shape of each of the bridges 33 corresponds to a corresponding third anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove; wherein the upper ring 31 is positioned in the first anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove 11, the lower ring 32 is positioned in the second anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove 221, and the bridges 33 are positioned correspondingly in the third anti-counterfeiting injection molding grooves, so that the upper cap 1 and the seat 2 are connected via the security ring 3, thereby achieving the function of anti-counterfeiting of the bottle cap.
To assemble the present invention, lock the seat 2 onto the bottle opening of the bottle 4, so that the first flange 231 is fitted to the second annular locking groove 236 and the fourth flange 235 is fitted to the first annular locking groove 233; as such the seat 2 will be firmly fixed to the bottle 4 and prevented from sliding movements. Next, thread the upper cap 1 onto the seat 2, so that the upper vertical channels 12 and the lower vertical channels 222 mutually correspond; and lastly, forming the security ring 3 in the first anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove 11, the second anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove 221and the third anti-counterfeiting injection molding grooves by injection molding. The anti-counterfeiting bottle cap of the present invention is configured embracing a portion where the upper cap and the seat meet together. Therefore, the present invention has a complicated structure and requires high technical skill. The security ring 3 is difficult to reconstruct after it is damaged. Compared with prior art anti-counterfeiting bottle cap, the present invention has a better anti-counterfeiting effect.

Partial and minor structural changes may be possible during implementation of the present invention. All changes or modifications that are not deviated from the essence and scope of the present invention, and while these changes or modifications belong to the scope defined by the claims and the equivalent technology, these changes or modifications should also fall within the scope of the present invention.

  1. CLAIMS1. An anti-counterfeiting structure for bottle cap, comprising an upper cap, a seat, and a security ring; wherein the seat is fitted onto a bottle opening; the upper cap is connected with an upper portion of the seat by screw threads; the security ring is positioned at a connecting portion between the upper cap and the seat; the security ring comprises an upper ring, a lower ring and at least two bridges connecting the upper ring and the lower ring; the upper ring is fitted to the upper cap; the lower ring is fitted to the seat; the bridges are fitted to the connecting portion between the upper cap and seat.

The anti-counterfeiting structure for bottle cap of claim 1, wherein a first anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove is provided along a peripheral direction around an outer side wall of the upper cap; a bottom side of an outer side wall of the upper cap is provided with at least two upper vertical channels; each of the upper vertical channels is in communication with the first anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove; the seat comprises sequentially from top to bottom an upper cap connecting portion, a security ring mounting portion and a bottle opening connecting portion; a second anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove is provided along a peripheral direction around the security ring mounting portion; a top side of the security ring mounting portion is provided with at least two lower vertical channels; each of the lower vertical channels is in communication with the second anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove; the upper vertical channels are in communication with the lower vertical channels respectively to define at least two third anti-counterfeiting injection molding grooves
  3. 3. The anti-counterfeiting structure for bottle cap of claim 2, wherein the upper vertical channels and the lower vertical channels correspond to each other respectively along an axial direction of the bottle cap; the upper ring of the security ring is fitted into the first anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove; the lower ring of the security ring is fitted into the second anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove; each of the bridges is fitted into a corresponding third anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove.
  4. 4. The anti-counterfeiting structure for bottle cap of claim 3, wherein the security ring is formed by a single injection molding procedure using the first anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove, the second anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove and the third anti-counterfeiting injection molding grooves.
  5. 5. The anti-counterfeiting structure for bottle cap of any one of claims 1-4, wherein an inner side wall of the bottle opening connecting portion is provided sequentially from top to bottom a first flange and a second flange; a first annular locking groove is defined between the first flange and the second flange; an outer side wall of an upper portion of the bottle is provided sequentially from top to bottom a third flange and a fourth flange; a second annular locking groove is defined between the third flange and the fourth flange; the first flange is fitted to the second annular locking groove; the fourth flange is fitted to the first annular locking groove.
  6. 6. The anti-counterfeiting structure for bottle cap of any one of claims 2-4, wherein a plurality of upper elongated projections are provided in the first anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove; a plurality of lower elongated projections are provided in the second anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove; the lower elongated projections in the second anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove correspond to the upper elongated projections in the first anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove; when the lower elongated projections in the second anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove correspond to the upper elongated projections in the first anti-counterfeiting injection molding groove, the upper vertical channels are in communication with the lower vertical channels respectively.
  7. 7. The anti-counterfeiting structure for bottle cap of claim 2, wherein the third anti-counterfeiting injection molding grooves are in one or more than one of the following shapes: rectangular shape, rhombus shape, triangular shape, inverted triangular shape, hexagonal shape and hourglass shape wider at two ends and narrower at the middle; a shape of the security ring corresponds to the shapes of the third anti-counterfeiting injection molding grooves.
