Detailed Description of Figures
With reference to the figures there is shown an embodiment of the temporary storage device 99 for use on scaffolding, generally comprising a backboard 6, a scaffold hanging mechanism 1, a plurality of storage locations 8, four handles 3,7, and two ground contact feet 5.
In particular reference to the pictured embodiment the embodiment comprises a generally planar backboard 6 having a curled over scaffold attachment mechanism 1 along its top edge.
This is U shaped in section and is arranged to be hung over the top rail of a scaffold 20 structure in use. It may be C-shaped in other embodiments.
In the pictured embodiment the mechanism 1 comprises a screw thread locking or closure mechanism 2, whereby the mechanism comprises threaded bars with end pads that engage against the scaffold pole to lock the embodiment in place there.
The embodiment has three screw members 2 for locking the mechanism, wherein tightening the screw members onto the scaffolding handrail or scissor lift rail secures the embodiment in place.
The backboard 6 comprises a plurality of locations for hanging or storage items 10.
In particular these items comprise storage containers 11,12, shelves 14,19 and tray hangers 13,14.
Tools such as drills can be inserted or tethered to hooks, using lanyards, to prevent them from being dropped from a height.
Two top handles 3 are located in the mechanism, provided by an inner frame left exposed by gaps in the backboard material, and help the user to find the most comfortable way to carry the device to where they are working.
Along with the top handles, the embodiment has two side handles 7 provided by holes in the backboard material, to either lateral side of the backboard. The side handles aid in carrying and transporting the device.
A lightweight aluminium box section frame,9 gives the backboard rigidity and helps distribute the load of the various items.
