Abstract

258,203. Silesia Verein Chemischer Fabriken. Sept. 23, 1925, [Convention date.]. Diarylguanidines. - Symmetrical diarylguanidines are produced by the action of ammonia under pressure on diarylthioureas suspended in benzene, toluol, or other organic solvent, the desulphurization being carried out at ordinary temperature with suitable metal oxides. In an example, di-o-tolylguanidine is prepared by treating di-o-tolythiourea suspended in xylol with lead oxide and gaseous ammonia under pressure.
