Abstract

A packing system for a stack of panels (2), comprising two fixing elements (5) in the shape of a letter "X" fixed on two opposite sides of the stack secured by fixing elements and strapping (4). The fixing elements (5) are made of two connected ribs (6) crossing in the middle. The top ends (7) of the ribs (6) overlap a transverse strip (9) to which they are fixed covering partially the side (3) of the panels, and a strip (10) perpendicular to it, covering partially the top surface (11) of the alignment. The bottom ends (12) of the ribs (6) stick out of the stack and are fixed to a base (13) along the edge of the stack. There may be space between the top end (7) of the rib and the transverse strip (9) for clamping tapes (4).

Description

PACKING SYSTEM FOR PANEL-TYPE ELEMENTS
Field of the Invention
The subject matter of the invention is a packing system for panel-type elements intended for packing the elements with the same dimensions, especially fence panels having equal length and height.
Description of the Invention
Pursuant to the description included in patent application No. PL/EP 2036834, a packing system is known which is suitable for a plurality of panel-type elements substantially of equal size arranged such that the corresponding edges of mentioned articles are aligned with respect to each other and the first rigid end-cap placeable on and around the plurality of articles along the first corresponding edges thereof, and the second rigid end-cap placeable on and around the plurality of articles along the second corresponding edges thereof; where the mentioned first end-caps are a frame with an opening to view the edges of each of the mentioned articles, and the first and the second edges of the mentioned articles are contained within the first and the second end-caps which together secure the articles therebetween, characterised with that each end-cap touches at least a pad of the most outer surface of the most outer article and touches at least an edge of each of the mentioned goods, which allows the transport and/or presentation of the panel-type goods both in a horizontal position and a vertical position. In the variant of execution, the system includes additional fixing elements in the middle and connecting the edges of the frame, of which the fixing elements made in the shape of a letter "X" coming from each of four corners of the opening of the frame, and crossing in the middle.
Pursuant to the description of utility model No. DE7904479, a packing system is known which consists of a cover fixed at the top of a stack of aligned goods consisting of four parts separated with a partition lengthwise, equipped with openings for clamping tapes and supporting ribs. In the solution pursuant to the utility model, the stack is located on oppositely situated bases.
The objective of the invention is to provide the packing system which allows the consumption of a lesser amount of material, does not cause damage to the contents of packed panel-type elements, enables easy transport as well as quick and easy unpacking of panel-type elements into storage shelves, and at the same time enables the visual assessment of each packed element by a customer.
A packing system for panel-type elements including the elements of end-caps, fixing elements, and clamping tapes fixed around goods which are placed in an aligned manner, which system is characterised with that it includes two fixing elements in the shape of a letter "X" fixed on two opposite sides of the stack of aligned panel-type elements, made of two connected ribs crossing in the middle, the top ends of which are ended with the corner overlap permanently fixed to them which consists of a transverse strip fixed to the bottom part of the top ends of ribs, covering partially the side of the stack of aligned panel-type elements, and a strip perpendicular to it, covering partially the top surface of the stack of panel-type elements, the bottom ends of which stick out of the stack of aligned panel-type elements and are ended with a base fixed to them along the edge of the stack of aligned panels.
Usefully, between the top ends of the ribs and the transverse strip of the corner overlap, there is a space for clamping tapes.
Individual elements of the packing system are usefully made of wood or another material and fastened with one another with the use of nails, staples and screws.
The solution according to the invention ensures the consumption of the lesser amount of material, which is cost-saving. The elements of the system take less place than standard box-type packaging, which is decisive for cost-saving in transport and subsequent storage of system elements which may be used many times. The elements in the shape of a letter "X" are not screwed to the packed goods, and therefore such a solution does not cause any damage to contents. The elements of the system do not cover the contents and each panel is accessible for its visual assessment by a customer, and it is also possible to fix labels on each of the packed elements.
The system of selling the panels requires that the panels are transferred to metal boxes located in the stores. It takes a lot of time and effort given the necessity of transferring the panels piece by piece. The packing system according to the invention makes it possible to place the whole package within a rack in the store; after removing the elements in the shape of a letter "X" -the goods are ready for sale without the necessity of transferring its pieces one by one.
The packaging system makes it also possible to place the stacks of panels in tiers, as well as reorienting the stacks to a lying position and unrestricted taking out of panels without the risk that the packed articles fell after removing the elements in the shape of a letter "X".
The packing system may be also applied to goods with small and large dimensions.
The invention was presented in figure 1 which shows the axonometric view of the packing system used for packing a stack of fence panels; figure 2 which shows the axonometric view of the packing system used for packing a stack of fence panels; figure 3 and 4 show the axonometric view of a fixing element, figure 5 shows two stacks of fence panels placed in tiers.
The packing system shown in figure 1 was used to pack -in an aligned manner fence panels (1) of the same length. A stack (2) of aligned panels (1) has the following dimensions: height: 1035 mm, width: 1936 mm, depth: 770 mm. On two opposite sides (3) of the stack (2) of aligned fence panels (1), there are two fixing elements (5) in the shape of a letter "X" fixed with PP tapes (4). As it is shown in detail in figure 3 and figure 4, the fixing elements (5) are made of two connected ribs (6) crossing in the middle in the form of wooden boards, the top ends (7) of which end with a corner overlap (8) permanently fixed to them. A corner overlap (8) consists of a transverse strip (9) fixed to the bottom part of the top ends (7) of the ribs (6) and partially covering the side (3) of the stack (2) and a strip (10) perpendicular to it, covering partially the top surface (11) of the stack (2).
The bottom ends (12) of the ribs (6) stick out of the stack (2) of aligned panels (1) and are ended with a base (13) fixed to them along the edge of the stack (2) of aligned panels.
The base (13) makes it possible to transport the stack (2) with the use of available and known equipment, such as forklifts, manual stackers, and others. The base (13) makes it possible to place the stacks (2) of packed panels (1) in tiers, as shown in figure 5.
In the variant of execution shown in figure 2, the packing system includes -in addition -stabilising elements (14) fastened with PP tape (4) with the use of a clip which are placed on the top and bottom surface of the stack (2).
Between the top ends (7) of the ribs (6) and the transverse strip (9) of the corner overlap (8), there is a space for clamping PP tapes (4) which bind the stack (2) of aligned panels (1).
