Abstract
A boat 100 is provided with integral assemblies at the front and rear which allows it to be both transported by land and launched into and retrieved from water when required. The rear assemblies comprise ground engaging wheels 102 connected to a sub-frame 1 which may be pivoted upwards when not required by means of a manually operable winch 101. The winch may raise and lower a pair of wheels (figure 2) due to left and right assemblies being connected by a rigid axle (12). The winch may comprise a chain (5, figure 3), a chain support (8), idler sprockets (9) and a chain tensioner (10). When the rear wheels are in their lowered position the hull of the boat may rest on pad (7). The front assembly comprises a front swivel wheel 105 which may be pivoted upwards when not required and a removable tow hitch 106, both of which are mounted 20 to the bow of the hull.
Description
A INTEGRATED TRAILER SYSTEM FOR BOAT
FIELD OF INVENTION
The invention relates to a boat comprising towing system designed to tow a boat by a vehicle, when on land.
BACKGROUND
One way to launch a boat into the water and retrieve it after use is to use a trailer which carries the boat. The user reverses the vehicle and trailer down a launching ramp or beach and launches or retrieves the boat from there. Loading and unloading a boat to and from a trailer at a launching ramp can be troublesome and time consuming.
SUMMARY OF INVENTION
It is an object of the invention to provide a convenient boat launching method which aims to ameliorate at least some of the problems mentioned above or to provide a useful choice for the public.
A manually operable winch can change the wheels position by pulling a chain connected to the subframe. ****. **** ** * * * * * ** ** * * * * * ** * **5 * ** ** * 0 * * * * * *
A winch is manually operable to a first position to secure the wheels below the hull when the boat is on land and a second position to lift up the wheels when the boat is on water.
A removable towing hitch is secure to the front mounting assemblies when the boat is on land and detached when the boat is on water.
Integrated trailer system comprising: a rear subframe assemblies and front mounting assemblies wherein: a rear subframe ssemblies comprises manually operable winch a rear subframe assemblies comprises chain., chain sprockets, chain. support and chain tensioner a rear subfrarne assemblies comprises of mounting base plate and pivot assembly a rear suhframe assemblies comprises of resting pads a rear subframe assemblies comprises of a left and right suspension unit a rear su.bframe assemblies comprises of a left and right wheel and wheels axle a front mounting assemblies comprises of the removable tow hitch unit a front mounting assemblies comprises of a swivel mount launching wheel The invention aims to provide a new form of boat trailer which allows easier launching and retrieving for a boat user than using a conventional boat trailer.
As the integrated boat trailer system does not require a separate trailer to carry the boat to and from a launching ramp.
The overall weight of towed boat and integrated trailer is significantly reduced which may effect the drivability of towing vehicle. Parking costs while the boat is in use on the water may be avoided.
Therefore the design of the system is simplified, maintenance requirements are reduced and the overall cost of using the boat is reduced.
This invention may also be said broadly to consist in the parts, elements and features referred to or indicated in the specification of the application, individually or collectively, and any or all combinations of any two or more of said parts, elements or features, and where specific integers are mentioned herein. which have known equivalents in the art to which this invention relates, such known equivalents are deemed to be incorporated herein as if individually set forth.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
The invention relates to an integrated boat trailer which can operate as a ground engaging boat trailer. Such functionality is enabled by front and rear mounted assemblies integrated with the **** hull 100 of the boat.
* * * e Front assemblies comprise of a ground engaging swivel launching wheel 105, front mounting assembly 20, the removable tow hitch 22 and the locking pin 21.
Rear assemblies comprise of a ground engaging wheels 102, subframe assemblies 1 and manually operable winch assemblies. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * . * * * * * * * * * * *
** * . To engage the wheels 102, manually operable winch 101 connected with the subframe I * * control the chain 5. Chain 5 is routing trough the idle sprockets 9, chain tensioner 1.0 and rest * * on chain support 8. Position of the wheels 102 may be change using manually operable winch 101 by pulling the chain. 5 attached to the subframe assemblies I by chain bracket 4. Chain tensioner 10 function is to maintain a chain 5 tension during a movement of subframe assembly 1 when changing position.
The wheels 102 are in the upright position Figure 4 when the boat operates on the water or in a below hull position Figure 1-3 when contact with supporting surface to enable the boat to be transported on a range of different land surfaces.
When the boat i.s launched into the water and the wheels 102 are no longer in contact with a ground surface, the manually operated winch 101 may be unlock and operate the subframe assemblies 1 by control the chain 5 to change subframe assemblies 1 position from above hull position Figure 3 to up right position Figure 4.
Left and right side of the subframe assemblies 1 are rigidly connected Figure 2 by wheels axle 12, position of the right and left wheel 102 may be controlled simultaneously by using single manually operable winch 101.
Referring to Figures 1-3 the subfrancie assembly 1 is in below hull 100 position. The boat hull 100 is resting on resting pad 7 attached to the subframe 1 and wheels axle 12.
Figure 6 shows front mounting assembly 20 mounted to the bow of the hull 100, provided mounting for removable tow hitch 22 and swivel launching wheel 105. Boat is launched into the water and the swivel launching wheel 105 is no longer in contact with a ground surface.
The position of swivel launching wheel 105 may be changed from launching position Figure 5 to upright position Figure 6.
Figure 5 shows front mounting assembly 20 mounted to the bow of the hull 100, swivel launching wheel 105 is in retrieving from the water position.
Figure 7 shows front assemblies when transporting the boat on land surface. Removable tow assembly 22 equipped with hitch coupler 106 is placed in front mounting 20 and secured by the locking pin 21. Swivel lawiching wheel 105 is in upright position.
Figure 9 shows integrated trailer system assemblies mounted to the boat hull 100 representing towing position to allow the boat to be hitched to a vehicle to he trailed on the ground surface and on water position.
Integrated trailer system may be used when combined with small to medium size boats non-motorised or motorised equipped with outboard or inboard engine. 0OOS.
