Abstract

A system for biometric verification comprises one or more computers. Each computer has a transceiver for near and medium range proximity range transfer and may, following biometric verification; send and receive data bi-directionally to and from a like device wirelessly over a communication network. The system may require biometric authentication from all devices connected to a network prior to data transfer. Mirror imaging of hard dive configuration may be shared wirelessly.

Description

Biometricallv Secured Wireless Hardrive and File Sharing The method described enables a very secure, wireless and bi-directional sharing of hard drive configurations, files configurations and computer files. Current methods of computer to computer sharing are either unsafe (because they are cloud based and prone to hacking), one directional in the case of fob sticks USB sticks or wired in the ease of conventional file networks. Also, current methods do not allow for close proximity or medium proximity files exchange between multiple computers.
Prime Computer: A prime computer is essentially any personal computer containing the files to be shared with one or more other personal computer(s) via a secure wireless pipeline.
Partner Computer: A partner computer is a personal computer which receives secure files from another personal computer within close or medium range proximity.
Integrated Wireless Transceivers: The system includes two or more integrated wireless transceivers which are integrated with the hard drive of the prime computer and hard drives of the partner computers. The integrated wireless transceiver in the prime computer establishes a wireless transfer session with one or more integrated wireless transceivers in the partner computer(s). A wireless transfer session enables the prime computer to share a replica of its hard drive configuration, files configuration and actual files with one or more partner computers. While a wireless transfer session is active, bi-directional transfer of files are enabled between the prime computer and it's connected partner computer(s). The wireless transfer sessions are relevant to close proximity and medium proximity computers; that is, the prime computer and partner computer(s) must be within close or medium range to each other.
Biornetric Authentication: The wireless transfer sessions described above are enabled by biometric authentication. A biometric PIN will be required from both the prime computer and partner computer(s) to activate a secure wireless transfer session. The biometric PIN can be a fingerprint scan; eyeball scan; DNA scan or other recognised form of biometric scanning. A biometric PIN will be requested from the prime computer and a counterpart biometric PIN requested from one or more partner computer(s). The biometric scanner communicates wirelessly with the integrated wireless transceivers in the system to activate a secure wireless transfer session. Without the provision of the requested biometric PINs, a wireless transfer session will not be established.
Mirror Image: It is important to note that a mirror image of the hard drive configuration, files configuration and actual files (of the prime computer) is shared wirelessly and securely with one or more partner computer(s).
a-Directional Transmissions: It is also important to note that the wireless transfer of secure files is bi-directional in nature. The prime computer simultaneously transfers files to one or more partner computer(s). Once the partner computer(s) complete their updates of the files, they can wirelessly and securely (via biometric authentications) transfer files back to the prime computer simultaneously. With this system, the prime computer simultaneously updates the hard drive of the partner computer(s) in one direction and the partner computer(s) updates the hard drive of the prime computer in the other direction. These bi-directional hard drive updates are done wirelessly and securely via biometric authentications.
