Abstract

257,444. Lassen, N. I. Oct. 29, 1925. Catheters.-An instrument for insertion into the nipple of dairy cattle is provided with means for expanding it after insertion. The instrument consists of a tube divided longitudinally into two parts 1, 2 pivoted together at 3, each part of the tube being slightly bent as shown and formed with a circular groove 7 and flange 6. After the tube has been inserted it is expanded by sliding towards the flanges 6 a hollow ring 4 containing springs which bear against the members 1, 2.
