Abstract

256,879. Steinberg, E. June 12, 1925. Arc lamps.-In a light-projector having arcelectrodes parallel to the optical axis, the optical system and the carrier of the electrodes are relatively adjustable to compensate for the consumption of the electrodes. In one arrangement the carrier,which may be adjusted by hand, slides in guides parallel to the axis of the lens system of the projector. In another projector, the carbons 2 are stationary and a reflector 13 is adjustable by means of a sliding stem 12 which is graduated in terms of time of burning. The arc may be struck as described in Specification 251,129.
