Description

DISPLAY CABINET
DESCRIPTION
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The present invention falls within the technical field of furniture for showcasing products, more specifically that of furniture with mobile or interchangeable shelves, and relates in particular to an upright display cabinet with trays adjustable in height and angle of inclination to exhibit the product perpendicularly to a consumer's angle of view.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
A wide variety of display cabinets are known to exist in the current state of the art intended for housing different products at a point of sale in such a manner as to be in sight of a potential buyer. Said cabinets usually comprise an upright support structure whereto horizontal shelves are associated, whereon the products to be displayed are arranged.
The main peculiarity of display cabinets lies in the multifunctionality they must have, since they must not only be capable of temporarily housing the products in question in a secure manner, avoiding falls and deterioration, but rather must do so in an organized, attractive manner that draws consumers' attention to incite them to acquire it, for which purpose the product must be easily accessible.
This is particularly evident in high added-value products such as cosmetics, which are usually displayed illuminated to highlight their tones and textures, which also requires equipping the shelves with additional lighting means.
Furthermore, various marketing studies have demonstrated that arranging a product perpendicularly in sight of potential buyers affords them a better and more attractive view, thereby inducing the desire to purchase.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The object of the invention consists of a shelving-type display cabinet specially designed to house cosmetic products to be displayed at points of sale, said cabinet being composed of a plurality of modules stackable therebetween and insertable in an external support frame to give rise to a shelving unit inclined with respect to the vertical.
Each of the modules comprises a support frame having two lateral vertical walls on whose internal side a plurality of grooves disposed transversely, parallel and equidistant to each other are located, intended for, firstly, housing a ball joint to adjust the inclination and, secondly, a support tray whereon a container housing the cosmetic products in question rests.
The different horizontal grooves make it possible to adjust the height at which the support tray is arranged in accordance with the height of the product itself, while the ball joint makes it possible to adjust the inclination of said tray in the interior of the support frame.
To this end, in a preferred embodiment said ball joint comprises a strip houseable in the interior of one of the grooves of the frame, said strip having an external side wherefrom a plurality of parallel flanges emerges, which define channels therebetween intended for housing a lateral perimeter edge of the support tray, which they maintain with the desired inclination.
In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the support tray is square-shaped and has, in addition to the aforementioned lateral perimeter edges through which it is joined to the ball joint, a front side wherein a transverse channel is defined intended for housing a plurality of projections defined on a rear side of the product container, said projections being trapped to maintain the support tray temporarily joined by pressure to the container, in order to facilitate the replacement of said container once the products contained therein have become depleted.
The display cabinet with reclining trays thus described represents a simple, inexpensive and versatile solution capable of housing a plurality of products in different positions, all fully visible, in an attractive manner for consumers.
DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
In order to supplement the description being made and to contribute to a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, according to a preferred embodiment thereof, a set of drawings is attached to said description as an integral part thereof, wherein the following has been represented in an illustrative and non-limiting manner:
Figure 1. Shows an exploded perspective front view of one of the modules of the display cabinet, wherein its main constituent elements can be observed.
Figure 2. Shows a perspective rear view of a shelf of the display cabinet.
Figure 3. Shows a detailed view of the assembly of a shelf in the frame.
Figure 4. Shows a perspective front view of the display cabinet.
Figure 5. Shows a side view of the display cabinet, wherein the arrangement of the trays with respect to a consumer's angle of view.
PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
With the aid of the aforementioned figures, below we provide a detailed explanation of a preferred embodiment of the object of the present invention.
The display cabinet described, shown in an exploded view in figure 1, is formed from a plurality of modules (1) stackable therebetween and insertable in an external support frame to give rise to shelving inclined with respect to the vertical, wherein each of said modules (1) comprises in turn a support frame (2) wherein at least two ball joints (3) and a support tray (4) are inserted, whereon a container (5) housing the product to be displayed in the displayed cabinet rests.
The frame (2), which has an essentially parallelepipedic geometry which, in the preferred embodiment described herein, is quadrangular, comprises side walls (6), an upper wall (7) and a base (8), wherein all these elements are joined to each other by a rear partition (9).
Both the upper wall (7) and the base (8) have corresponding coupling means to facilitate the stacking of a plurality of modules (1).
As can be observed in figures 1 and 3, the side walls of the frame (2) have an internal side (10) wherein a plurality of lateral guides (11) are defined, which in this preferred embodiment are transverse, parallel and equidistant grooves therebetween, each of which has a first end, near the front side of the frame (2), wherefrom a first flange (12) emerges perpendicularly, and a second end, near the rear partition (9), wherein a recess (13) intended for housing the ball joint (3) is defined.
Additionally, the inclusion of stubs (14) is also envisaged, associated with the internal side of the rear partition (9) near the recess (13) of each guide (11) to immobilize the ball joint (3) once housed in the corresponding recess (13) by coupling with a second flange (27).
The plurality of parallel lateral guides (11) makes it possible to position the tray (4) at a greater or lower height inside the frame (2) in accordance with the dimensions of the product housed in the container (5).
Furthermore, in this preferred embodiment the ball joint (3), intended for facilitating the positioning of the tray (4) in the interior of the frame (2), comprises a strip (15) having a geometry and dimensions similar to those of the recess (13) of the grooves (11), strip (15) having a single internal side, intended for being disposed in opposition to said recess (13), and an external side having a plurality of parallel beam-shaped projections (16), which define a corresponding plurality of oblique and parallel channels (17) intended for housing a lateral edge (18) of the tray (4) to position said tray (4) obliquely to the frame (2). A second flange (27) emerges from a lateral rim (15) intended for coupling to the stubs (14) of the corresponding grooves (11).
A through-hole (19) defined in the strip (15) is intended for housing a projection (20) defined in the lateral edge (18) of the tray (4) in order to immobilize both elements therebetween.
The tray (4), which is L-shaped as can be observed in the attached figures, comprises a horizontal support (21) and a vertical wall (22) perpendicular to the support (21). The support (21) has the aforementioned lateral edges (18) and a front wherein a channel (23) is defined intended for housing corresponding protuberances (24) defined in the container (5), in order to temporarily associate the container (5) with the tray (4) by means of clipping.
In the preferred embodiment described, the container (5), designed to house cosmetic products with cylindrical geometry, for example lipstick, as shown in figure 2, comprises a plurality of rows wherein said products are housed. At the back of each row there is a pusher (25) that moves the products towards the front of their corresponding row.
As can be observed in figures 4 and 5, the display cabinet thus described makes it possible to position the product containers (5) with different inclinations, such that the products are always perpendicular to the angle of sight of a potential buyer, regardless of his/her height.
Therefore, in order to position the container (5) in the frame (2) in the desired manner, the ball joints (3) are firstly introduced in the corresponding recesses (13) of the opposing guides (11), in accordance with the height of the product. Subsequently, the lateral edges (18) of the tray (4) are introduced in said grooves until reaching the ball joint (3), causing said lateral edges (18) to run along one of the oblique channels (17) to give them the necessary inclination.
Once the desired inclined position for the tray (4) has been reached, the protuberances (24) of a container (5) are introduced in the channel (23) of the tray. Once the product contained therein has been depleted, it is enough to remove said container (5) to replace it with another container full of the product in question, without need to modify the position of the tray (4) or the ball joint (3).
The preferred embodiment described additionally includes a protective frame (26) which can be associated with a front side of the frame (2) for the beautification and protection thereof.
