Abstract
A method of determining the effectiveness of an intervention (i.e. repair/change) in a hybrid fibre-metal (e.g. fibre-copper) access network is described. The effectiveness is determined in accordance with the change in the attenuation and the maximum achievable data rate before and after the intervention.
