Abstract
The comb cleaning accessory 10 has a fabric sheet 14A attached at one end 50A to a handle 16. In use, teeth 12 of a comb 40 are passed through the fabric sheet 14A before brushing hair. After brushing, the fabric sheet 14A is removed from teeth 12, taking with it the debris, cleaning the teeth 12. In particular, the comb 40 may be a lice or nit comb. A second end (50B, figure 2) of the fabric sheet 14A may also be attached to the handle 16. A second fabric sheet (14B, figure 5) may overlie and be removably connected to the first fabric sheet 14A. When the first fabric sheet 14A is removed from the teeth 12, the second fabric sheet (14B, figure 5) may remain on the teeth 12 to be later removed after another round of brushing. The handle 16 may be paperboard.

TITLE
COMB ACCESSORY
TECHNICAL FIELD
The invention relates to the field of combs. More particularly, the invention relates to an accessory for accompanying cleaning lice by a comb.
BACKGROUND
A comb includes a body and teeth extending therefrom. The teeth of a lice comb are dense and spaced closely together, for picking out lice, eggs, and other undesirable matter.
The comb, particularly when used for picking lice, must be cleaned after use. This is performed by hand, paper, flowing water or other means.
Since all these means are external to the comb, and unaesthetic, lice combing is a nasty activity.
There is a long felt need to provide a solution to the above-mentioned and other problems of the prior art.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
The invention will be understood from the following detailed description of embodiments of the invention, which are meant to be descriptive and not limiting. For the sake of brevity, some well-known features are not described in detail.
The reference numbers have been used to point out elements in the embodiments described and illustrated herein,
- 3 in order to facilitate the understanding of the invention. They are meant to be merely illustrative, and not limiting. Also, the foregoing embodiments of the invention have been described and illustrated in conjunction with systems and methods thereof, which are meant to be merely illustrative, and not limiting.
Fig. 1 depicts a comb cleaning apparatus, according to one embodiment of the invention.
A comb cleaning apparatus 10 includes a fabric or sieve 10 14A; a board 16! and stitches 18 for connecting ends 50A and
50B of (hidden in the figure) fabric 14A to board 16, for holding fabric 14A to board 16.
According to a preferred embodiment, board 16 includes two regions 42A and 42B, each suitable for being held by one hand of the user, such that fabric 14A is disposed between regions 42A and 42B and not covered thereby.
Fig. 2 depicts the comb cleaning apparatus of Fig. 1, at the first step of use.
At the first step, the user holds region 42A of board 16 20 with a first hand! holds region 42B with a second hand! places fabric 14A on the teeth 12 of a comb 40! and presses each of regions 42A and 42B parallel to teeth 12 and presses fabric 14A in the direction as shown by arrow 20, thereby urging fabric 14 towards the handle 52 of comb 40, while the bottom
44 of handle 52 is supported, e.g., by resting on a table.
- 4 The above operation provides a significant force which causes ends 50A and 50B of fabric 14A to be drawn away one from the other! thus it stretches fabric 14A, and further presses fabric 14A onto teeth 12, such that teeth 12 perforate fabric 14A, thereby threading themselves therethrough.
Fig. 3 depicts the comb cleaning apparatus of Fig. 1 at the second step of use.
At the second step of use, the user places the comb cleaning apparatus 10 at the end of teeth 12 closest to handle
52, and may then comb the hair of the subject having (or suspected of having) lice or lice eggs.
Fig. 3 shows an embodiment of comb cleaning apparatus 10 having one region 42A of board 16. Optionally, a second region 42B may also be present.
Fig. 4 depicts the comb cleaning apparatus of Fig. 1 at the third step of use.
At the third step, which occurs once the subject’s hair has been thoroughly combed, the user lifts either of regions 42A or 42B, as shown by arrow 24, and further pulls the comb cleaning apparatus 10 away from comb 40, thereby removing apparatus 10 from comb 40. Simultaneously, the lice and any other debris are removed from teeth 12, being retained on fabric 14 A.
Fig. 5 depicts the comb cleaning apparatus of Fig. 1 according to another embodiment.
- 5 Comb cleaning apparatus 10 may further include a fabric 14B, being removably stuck to fabric 14A.
Accordingly at the third step, the user may lift fabric 14A with board 16 from teeth 12, while holding fabric 14B so that fabric 14B remains in position on the teeth 12 of comb 40 and is not removed therefrom, thus separating fabric 14A only, with the dirt or debris, from teeth 12 and from fabric 14B.
Then, the user may comb the hair of the subject again. 10 The debris from the repeat combing can be removed from the comb by lifting off fabric 14B from the teeth 12.
Comb cleaning apparatus 10 may further include a fabric 14C, being removably stuck to fabric 14B.
Then, the user may lift fabric 14B alone from teeth 12, 15 while holding fabric 14C so that fabric 14C remains in position on the teeth 12 of comb 40 and is not removed therefrom, thus separating fabric 14B only from teeth 12 and from fabric 14C. The step of combing the hair of the subject and cleaning the comb can thus be repeated.
Thus, in one aspect, the invention is directed to a comb accessory (10), including:
- a board (16), for being held by a user's hand; and
- a first fabric (14A), having at least one end (50A) thereof attached to the board (16),
- 6 wherein the teeth (12) of a comb (40) can be threaded into the first fabric (14A), and wherein the first fabric (14A) is removable from the comb (40), thereby cleaning the teeth (12) of the comb (40).
The at least one end (50A) of the first fabric (14A) is attached to the board (16). Optionally the first fabric (14A), may include at least two ends (50A, 50B) which are each attached to the board (16), thereby forming two regions (42A, 42B) of the board (16), each of which can be held by a different hand of the user, for allowing forcible pressing, by hand, of the first fabric (14A) onto the teeth (12) of comb (40), thereby threading the teeth (12) into the first fabric (14A).
The comb accessory (10) may further include
- a second fabric (14B), being removably stuck to the first fabric (14A), so that threading the teeth (12) into the first fabric (14A) also threads the teeth (12) into the second fabric (14B), and wherein the first fabric (14A) can be removed from said comb whilst allowing the second fabric (14B) to remain on the teeth (12), thereby allowing further cleaning of the teeth (12) by the second fabric (14B).
The comb accessory (10) may further include
- a third fabric (14C), being removably stuck to the second fabric (14B),
- 7 such that threading of teeth (12) into the first fabric (14A) also threads the teeth (12) into the third fabric (14C), and wherein the second fabric (14B) can be removed from said teeth, whilst allowing the third fabric (14C) to remain on the teeth (12), thereby allowing further cleaning the teeth (12) by the third fabric (14C).
The means of attaching of the first fabric (14A) to the 10 board (16) may conveniently be by stitching, which has the advantage of providing a strong force of attachment.
The material of the board (16) may be paperboard, which has the advantage that it can easily be stitched.
In the figures and/or description herein, the following reference numerals (Reference Signs List) have been mentioned:
