Solid food utensil Background
Daily food life; involves preparation, serving and eating; requiring, turning, picking and movement of food on food holding surfaces, containers and towards the mouth using a variety of cutlery; and utensils. The disclosed aspects of subject matter relate to food manipulation utensil; mechanism, systems; and methods discovered by the applicant; when frying a sausage in pan; using conventional food manipulation utensils ; spoon, fork; and ladle being with straight tip utensil.
It became clear to the applicant; getting the sausages to be evenly cooked; right around whole surface; including inside ; needed more than one utensil ; including leaving the handle of the frying pan ; or stopping and swapping cooking utensils. These include spoons, spatulas, forks, knives, skewers ,toothpicks and perforators whose use , design and traditional shape has changed with limited success in part due to lack of function difference ; or a clear defined additional advantage on proposed utensils to be adopted .
Solid foods have a shape other than oblique; in sausages and which are, difficult to control; or cook evenly ;or measure internal condition including small food items which roll, slide easily on carrying surface there are manipulated on ;besides the delicate internal food structure.
Conventional food utensils FIG [1] and FIG [2]; typically ,have a proximal portion ;being at lower section of illustrative drawings ; being handle 001 connected by neck 002 to a distal portion being food manipulating parts; upper section on drawings.
This traditional design of utensil, allows the distal portion tip edge of the utensil to make first direct contact with food both when unloading into mouth ;and loading from plate, bowel, rack; or any food holding surface
Typically, distal portions;have a food contacting front tip 008 or 009 in FIG [1] ;a food holding area, bowel 007 ;and peripheral side edge boundary 0011 leading into said food contacting front tip 008 or
1207 17
009; where food holding area 007 are typically flat FIG[1] (b), concave bowel FIG[l](a) used to hold, contain; or turn food over. Where, regarding the peripheral side edge, boundary 0011, conventional food utensils typically have straight sides FIG [1] (b) with corners to become straight tip 008;or a convex curvature FIG [1] (a) to approach centre front tip as in spoon being bulging out tip 009; or rounded as in dessert spoon . Where, said conventional tips;are designed to be a multi-purpose; essential to the function of utensil; scooping, digging into food from top; or under body of food stuff,by applying force from handle, gripped by hand of user transferred through the connecting neck. Where, regarding these said conventional;features food holding area 007 peripheral sides 0011; and tips 008,009 ; functionally: scoop, dig, tip-over food.
Where, other than said scoop, digging ;by said conventional features utensils roll, control, manipulate solid food;by making contact outside the body of utensil, with the said peripheral side edge 0011; and tip 008,009 of utensil.
Where, utensil contacting edge on food;is a function of length and width of the edge, being surface area of edge in contact with the solid food; at any instantaneous moment.
Where, perforating food utensil; typically consist of a proximal handle 001; attached by a connecting neck 002 to a distal food contacting part; which is maybe sharp these including; forks, skewers, knives; or toothpicks as in FIG [2] .
Ideally, a food utensil; should withstand;high temperature, cleaning agents ,ingredient components,be easy to clean, odourless, tasteless, stainless, inert to oxidation ;or corrosion resistant; and generally aesthetically pleasing ;with as much safety features to protect user.
Where regarding conventional utensils; as multi- purpose on solid foods which have a rocking, oscillation on vertical axis, lateral motion, rolling; and sliding motion along horizontal axis.
However, it is well known the difficuIty;in manipulating precision intensity; when trying to aim ;and pierce a rocking, rolling food stuff; without prior knowledge, by practice of particular food texture firmness; or a second helping hand, in utensils like forks, toothpicks, skewers; including when cooking ; or serving including food getting stuck on the utensil piercing area.
There is need to provide the essential second-hand utensil; within one handle utensil, including undoing stuck food items with single handle food utensils.
Where it is known problem, perforating device to pick the mouth of user hence, exposing the user to danger of injury.
