AN ELECTRICAL PROTECTION DEVICE
The following Statement is a full description of this invention including the best method of performing it known to me/us:
TITLE “AN ELECTRICAL PROTECTION DEVICE”
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an electrical protection device, which is to switch on and off current under low voltage of for example 415V, and meanwhile provide protection to various loads, such as instantaneous high current shock in case of short circuit, overload, or electric shock.
BACKGROUND
The present invention attempts to overcome at least in part disadvantages of previously known electrical protection devices. The electrical device of the present invention is arranged to switch on and off the residual current circuit breaker with overcurrent circuit protection (RCBO). The RCBO can disconnect effectively not only in the abnormal circuit conditions, but also in the faulty circuit conditions. Usually the short circuit current of an instantaneous 6000A or above generated in a circuit, which will fail to be disconnected when using a normal breaker it is necessary to use an RCBO.
Secondly the residual protection relates to a pushbutton system, and the traditional operation mechanism of the RCBO after power off, either L or N will not be disconnected. This means only one connection terminal is disconnected. Thus, if the pushbutton system is pressed when the RCBO is power off, the current will go through the button which provides a potential risk of electric shock.
Moreover, when the traditional RCBO is connected to cables, or wire the conductor is driven by the connection clamp to rise to fasten the enabled wire or conductor.
When in the process of fastening, the movement direction of the connection clamp is to secure the wire or conductor until the metal clamp is completely fastened. When a bus bar is connected with cables, the connection height is the position of a metal clamp, which will not be lower. However, a much lower connection height is required in most European type power distribution boards, so the traditional RCBO has no way to fit and also it is not easy to assemble in such a lower height bus bar.
Finally, the fixed clip of the traditional RCBO is assembled with more accessories, which will cost more time in the production line and will be inconvenient for disassembling when necessary.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention provides a solution to the above issues, and is an electrical protection device which is relatively small with simple components. The switching device is also designed in the operation mechanism to disconnect the pushbutton system to avoid the current being conveyed to the disconnected L pole occasionally by pressing the button when the RCBO is switched off.
The present invention can fit a lower bus bar when assembled with cables. The design is to make the metal clamp push the wire or conductor downward in the middle position of the connection clamp until fastening the wire and conductor, and the connection height is fixed on the bottom of the connection clamp, which will be fixed securely.
The last is to use an integrated plastic fixed clip to provide quick installation and assembly to reduce production cost accordingly.

DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
The present invention aims to provide an electrical protection device in a small size with simple and useful accessories, high space utilization and sensitivity, and being well latched.
In order to meet these requirements, the electrical protection device is realized by the following characteristics: An electrical protection device includes a case (1) (see figure 7), a cover (15), an operation mechanism (3 (see figure 4), and a first shaft (4). The mentioned operation mechanism (3) is provided with a bracket (5) which connects with the first shaft (4) and moves along the first shaft (4) to operate.
A side of the bracket (5) is provided with a protruding shoulder (6) near to the first shaft (4). The shoulder (6) is provided with a position on both ends of a first metal conductor (7), and the mentioned first metal conductor (7) is fixed on the case (1) near to one end, and another ending part is connected to an L pole component (8) (see figure 2) to supply power. The one end of the first metal conductor (7) extends to a top corner of the case (1) to make an opposite position relating to a metal conductor (9). The mentioned metal conductor (9) is also fixed on the case.
The first metal conductor (7), the metal conductor (9) and the bracket (5) constitute a switching device (10).
As shown in figure 3, when the electrical protection device is switched on the bracket (5) of the shoulder (6) moves along the first shaft (4) to rotate the first metal conductor (7) until contacting the metal conductor (9). The switching device is then on-state current.
When the electrical protection device is switched off, the first metal conductor (7) is separated from the metal conductor (9) synchronously. The switching device disconnects the current so that the pushbutton and PCB board is in an off-state condition.
The bracket (5) is provided with a locking catch (13). The movable limiting inside of one end of the locking catch is connected with an electric overload rod (14) (see figure 2). The mentioned electric overload rod (14) is located on one side of a cover (15) near to the base (16). The other end of the electric overload rod (14) is provided with a stop lever (17) which extends to one side of a bi-metal element (18) through the cover (15). A stop lever (17) of the overload rod (14) passes through the cover (15) and positions in an intersecting slot (19) (see figure 2). The mentioned intersecting slot (19) causes the overload bar (14) to move in a restrictive trajectory back and forth, and the trajectory is determined by the shape of the slot (19).
One end of the mentioned electrical protection device is provided with a wiring device (23), including a wire frame (20), a metal clamp (21) and a threaded rod (22). One end of the threaded rod (22) has a transversely circular head with the exception of the head, and the long rod (22) is threaded. The circular head of the threaded rod (22) is embedded in a metal clamp (21), where there is a circular hole of the bending end of the metal clamp (21). The threaded rod (22) is movable in the circular hole. The metal clamp (21) is rotated in the round hole and is driven by the external torque force action with respect to the metal clamp (21), and the up and down displacement of the metal clamp in the wire frame.
The threaded rod (22) positions through a clamp screw hole (24) of the wiring device (23) and does up and down movement of the wiring clamp by outer force rotation. The upward movement of the threaded rod (22) drives the metal clamp (21) to loosen the wiring device (23), the downward movement of the thread rod (22) drives the metal clamp to fix the wiring device (23).
The wiring frame (20) is fixed to the electrical protection device and not displaced at one end of the case relative to the threaded rod (22) and metal clamp (21).
The electrical protection device also includes a fixed clip (25) on the base.
As shown in figure 10 the fixed clip (25) is an integrated plastic injection mould of an inner bottom side (26) of each line of the fixed clip (25) is provided with buckle step 1 and 2, and a gap (27) is located in the middle part between the buckle step 1 and step 2, and the gap (27) is a positioning guide hole to assemble the fixed clip.
As shown in figure 9 the fixed clip (25) is with two suitable slide railings (28), and these two slide railings (28) are designed symmetrically. The slide railings (28) each have two curved bends (29), and the two slide railings on one end in the centre position does not extend to the inter channel, however to form a declining stop block (30) on the end.
As shown in figure 8 one end of the surface of the electrical protection device base is provided with a mounting boss (31) of the fixed clip (25), and the said mounting boss (31) is provided with the first stair (32) and the second stair (33). The two outer sides of the first stair (32) are provided with a symmetrical obtuse angle surface, and the internal side is rectangular recess (35), when it is assembled with the mounting clip (25), the stop block (30) of the fixed clip (25) can be shifted to the rectangular recess (35) to stop position.
The two sides of the second stair are also provided with symmetrical recess. The stair to the electrical protection device is arranged with slide way, and the stair 1 of the mounting clip goes into the slide for installation through the stair 1.
